The 2026 American Legion District 7 championship is on the line when second-seeded Cottreall-Warner 942 faces top-seeded Greece Post 468. Game 1 is scheduled for Monday at 6:15 p.m. The best-of-three series continues Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. for Game 2. Game 3 (if necessary) will follow. Game 1 will be played at McQuaid High School.

How they arrived here: No. 1 Greece Post earned byes in both the first and quarterfinal rounds and started its postseason run in a best-of-three series semifinal against No. 7 East Rochester Post 1917. Greece Post walked off game one in extra innings winning 6-5. Similarly, game two (9-8) went to extra innings and Greece Post walked it off again to make its way to the championship. No. 2 Cottreall-Warner also had byes in the first and quarterfinal rounds. Its playoff run started in the semifinals against No. 4 James Cooke Post 931. Cottreall-Warner post swept the series, 10-2 and 10-0.
Tempos and trends: Both Cottreall-Warner and Greece Post swept their opponents in the semifinals. Greece Post had walk off victories in both of its wins, and Cottreall-Warner scored 10 runs in both games. Greece Post went on a nine-game winning streak and outscored opponents 79-25 during that stretch. During the season, Greece post shut out four different teams and scored double digit runs in five games. Cottreall-Warner outscored opponents in the post season 20-2. During the season Cottreall-Warner scored 10-plus runs in three games, and allowed more than five runs three times with all but one ending in victory.
