Trailing 8-7 with one out and the bases loaded in the bottom of the seventh, Mitchell Nieves (R, 3 RBI) hit a ground ball that Chili Post couldn’t field cleanly, scoring two runs and giving Ely Fagan Post the victory. After falling behind 4-0 in the first inning, Ely Fagan got a run back in the second when Nieves reached on another fielding miscue. Ryan Lewin (3-4, 2 R, 3 RBI) and Oliver Wright (4-for-4, R) led off the bottom of the third with back-to-back singles for Ely Fagan, putting runners on the corners. A double steal of both second and home, an RBI single from Caden Richards (2-3, BB, 2 R, RBI) and an RBI double from Mathew Turner (3-4, R, RBI) then tied the game at four. Chili Post regained its four-run lead in the top of the fourth, but Ely Fagan answered back with three runs in the bottom of the inning on a three-run homer from Lewin. Austin Yageric tossed a scoreless two-thirds of an inning in relief to pick up the win. Gio Stewart singled, walked and scored for the 1151. Landon Brown walked and also crossed home. Dylan Savage reached on a base on balls. Quintyn Whipple (2-3, R, 3 RBI) and Landon Bryan (2-4, R, 2 RBI) led the Chili bats. Jaylen Givens (2-4, R, RBI) and Max Spitz (2-4, 2 R, RBI) also had multi-hit efforts. Bruce Hanna, Jayden Jager and Josh Miner each singled and scored. Andrew McManus accounted for a double.

Will Sheible allowed one run on one hit and a walk, striking out four in a complete game for Chili Post. Sheible surrendered a one-out single in the second then retired the next nine batters he faced. He did not allow a hit over his final four innings of work and set down the final seven that came to the plate. After falling behind 1-0 in the top of the second, Chili Post responded with three runs in the bottom of the inning on an RBI double from Josh Miner (1-2, BB, R, RBI) and a two-run single from Jayden Jager. Max Spitz (2-3), Aaron Reina (2 BB) and Quintyn Whipple (1-2, BB) all reached twice for Chili. Bruce Hanna also had a single, a stolen base and a run scored for Chili. Andrew McManus crossed home in the win. Ryan Lewin and Dylan Savage had the lone hits for Ely Fagan. Mathew Turner walked, stole a base and scored the lone run. Oliver Wright tossed two scoreless innings in relief, fanning two.
