Tuesday American Legion Wrap: Donalty leads Braman Post

Kevin Donalty struck out five and allowed one run in a complete-game effort to lead Braman Post. Donalty also went 2-for-4 at the plate, including an RBI single that contributed to a sixth inning when the 1229 sent 11 to the plate and scored seven runs. The game was 3-1 entering the sixth inning when Kayden Yapjoco hit a solo home run to start the frame. Brady Beganny then scored on a passed ball, Donalty singled, Landen Belliard also singled driving in Ryan Rebmann and Brady Wadsworth who both reached base on errors. Belliard then came home on a passed ball, and Elliot Johnson scored on a groundout from Jacob Murray making it 10-1. The scoring was not done there, in the seventh inning Braman Post added five more runs. Dominic Denecke would start the inning with a single. Donalty doubled, and Rebmann walked to load the bases. Wadsworth drew a walk scoring the first run, Belliard singled driving in another run, Johnson Doubled scoring two more, and Murray hit a sacrifice fly to make it 15-1. The first runs of the game came in the first inning when Yapjoco doubled driving in two runs. Later in the first Denecke would single driving in another run. For Irondequoit Post the lone run came in the first inning when Declan Caron tripled scoring Vinnie D’Agostino.
