One team is looking to make its fourth regionals appearance since 2012. The other is looking to make its eighth appearance since 2001. Caledonia-Mumford and Falconer will battle in a Class C sub-regional qualifier. Here’s the breakdown:

How they arrived here: Caledonia-Mumford defeated Genesee Valley-Belfast (4-1), Warsaw (5-4) and Kendall (6-2) to claim the Class C2 sectional title before defeating Letchworth (18-6) in a regional qualifier matchup. Falconer beat Frewsburg (14-2), Ellicottville (7-0), Wilson (4-3) and Barker (12-7) to claim the Class C title and advance to the sub-regionals.
Tempo and trends: Caledonia-Mumford averages 10 runs per game and allows 2.6 runs per game. Falconer averages 8.3 runs per game and allows 3.4 runs per game. Caledonia-Mumford finished their season winning 15 of its last 16 matchups including seven double-digit wins. Falconer enters winning six of their last seven matchups, finishing with a total of four shutouts this season.
