Constantino Financial Sub-Regional Preview: Avon to face Alden in Class B

One team is looking to make its second regionals appearance since 2022. The other is looking to make its second regionals appearance in program history. Avon and Alden will face off in the Class B sub-regional. Here’s the breakdown:

Alden defeated Medina (12-0), Akron (12-0), Allegany-Limestone (7-5) and Fredonia (12-11) to earn the Class B championship and advance to the sub-regionals.

History 101: Avon has made one regional appearance in program history, defeating Falconer 5-0 in 2022. Alden is looking to make its second regional appearance since 2015 when the Bulldogs defeated Haverling 5-4. 

What’s at stake: A spot in the Class B state quarterfinals against Susquehanna Valley (IV) on Saturday, June 6 at Gates Chili High School at 10:00 a.m.
