CLASS C

FALCONER (VI) 9
CALEDONIA-MUMFORD (21-3) 4

A seventh-inning rally fell short as Caledonia-Mumford’s season ended in the NYS sub-regional. Trailing 9-0, London Mattingly reached on a fielder’s choice. Emma Wyskiel and Colleen Talty followed with base hits. Mia Wilson reached on a hit by a pitch. An error brought in two runs before Shea Drazkowski drove in two more with a single. Mylie Zaranek staked Falconer to first-inning lead with a two-run home run. Falconer added three more runs each in the third and seventh innings.

“Not the outcome we desired tonight, but I am really proud of this group of girls for how hard they worked in practice, how they jelled as a team and obviously how they competed in games,” Cal-Mum head coach Dan Dickens said via email. “Everyone is good at this point of the season and you have to play your “A game.” Tonight wasn’t our night, but they have nothing to hang their heads about. I can’t say enough good things about our four seniors Shea Drazkowski, Colleen Talty, Mia Wilson and Emma Wyskiel. These are four great young women whom I am fortunate to have coached and competed with over these last four years.”
