Two squads will clash on Saturday looking to make history.
Nobody in Section V has more sectional titles than Wellsville, and the Tigers are eying their second ever three-peat. For East Rochester, a win would end a 14-year title drought. Each team has won five of its past seven games.
It will be a historic day for one team one way or another on Saturday. Here’s the breakdown:

East Rochester beat No. 5 seed Le Roy 4-3 and took down top-seeded Sodus 10-9 to reach the championship game.

History 101: Wellsville is currently tied for the most sectional titles in Section V with 16. It would be the third championship for the Tigers. A win would give East Rochester its ninth in program history and first since 2012.
What’s at stake: A spot in the NYS Class B Far West Regional qualifier against the winner of Haverling and Wayland-Cohocton.
