Two red-hot teams will meet this weekend in a rematch of last year’s Class D title game.
Top-seeded Arkport-Canaseraga has won its past 15 games and is looking to avenge a loss in the finals last year. Fillmore, the No. 2 seed, has won 15 of its past 16 outings and is attempting to become back-to-back champs.
Two heavyweights will clash on Saturday afternoon. Here’s the breakdown:

History 101: It is a rematch of the Class D final from a season ago. The two squads also met once in the regular season, with Arkport-Canaseraga taking it 3-2. The Gray Wolves won their first and only sectional title as a merged program in 2024, a year that ended in a Class D state title. Arkport won six titles in its history, and Canaseraga won one. Fillmore is searching for its sixth title in program history and third since 2022.
What’s at stake: A spot in the NYS Class D Far West Regional against the Section VI winner, either Maple Grove or Ellicottville.
