Entering the bottom of the sixth down 4-0, Allison Williams and Ysabella Schrauger both walked before Tori Davis knocked a two-run single to put Oakfield-Alabama up 6-4 to close out the Class D1 sectional championship. Savannah Durham struck out 13 batters in a complete game effort, allowing five hits and four runs (one earned) to earn the win in the circle. The sophomore also collected an RBI triple and one run. Chloe Lamb finished 2-for-3 with one RBI and one run scored. Williams, Raine Denny and Rylee Denny each added a single. Allison Harkness, Emma Thompson and Emma Moeller all finished with one run scored. Morghyn Ross paced Fillmore going 2-3 with two stolen bases, an RBI and two runs scored. Mylee Miller doubled, stole two bags and scored two runs. Tenlee Miller doubled, singled and stole one base. Mattie McCumiskey added two RBI. Oakfield-Alabama will advance to the Class D Regional Qualifier to battle Avoca-Prattsburgh for a spot in the NYSPHSAA quarterfinals.

No. 2 AVOCA-PRATTSBURGH (18-5) 3

Tournament MVP Payton Hopkins punched out seven batters in a three-hitter, allowing only two walks to lead Avoca-Prattsburgh to the Class D2 sectional crown. Hopkins also doubled and scored one run. Charlotte Peck collected a double, a single and one RBI. Alydia Mcintyre went 1-for-2 with a triple, a walk, one RBI and two runs scored. Meyah Putnam and Olivia Mullen both ended with one single. Brooke VanSkiver added one RBI. Isabella Groves led Lyndonville with a double and a stolen base. Brooke Robinson and Hannah Fox both ended with a single. Arnie Sturtevant struck out 11 batters across a complete game effort, allowing six hits, three runs (two earned) and one walk. Avoca-Prattsburgh will advance to the Class D Regional Qualifier to battle Oakfield-Alabama for a spot in the NYSPHSAA quarterfinals.
