Isaac Stella struck out five over a complete game of five-hit ball with one run to lift McQuaid Jesuit (NYSSWA Class AAA No. 5) in game one of a best-of-three Class AAA championship series. Robbie Langdon had an RBI and scored the eventual game-winning run in the fifth inning thanks to a sacrifice fly from Thomas Bailey for the Knights 14th victory in the last 15 outings. Ryan DeJoy added a hit and a run while Dan Luce, Connor Forkey and Dominic Anzalone all tallied a hit apiece. For Fairport (NYSSWA Class AAA No. 2), Jon Roessel led the way with two hits while Garrett McNeil hit an RBI-double. Alex Grejda collected a hit and a run while Nathan Chaff recorded one hit. McQuaid Jesuit takes a 1-0 lead and looks to keep the momentum in game two on Thursday, May 28.

Dylan Dumont fanned 12 over a complete game shutout of three-hit ball while going 2-for-3 with a two-run single to lift Webster Schroeder to the Class AA1 final. The championship appearance will be the first for the Warriors since 2016. Eli Stockmaster went 2-3 while Luckas Mazzorana ended 2-3 with a run for the Knights fifth victory in the last six outings. Ryan LaRocco added a hit and a run while Elliott Johnson and Max Caron tallied a hit apiece. For Webster Thomas (NYSSWA Class AA No. 14), Tyler Estelle, Christian Sciortino and Alex Wright all recorded one hit apiece. Webster Schroeder goes up against No. 2 Hilton in the final Friday, May 29 at Dwyer Stadium, 7 p.m.

Zach Mattice hurled a complete game shutout of one-hit ball with five strikeouts to lead Hilton to the Class AA1 final. The championship appearance will be the first for the Cadets since 2021. Jack Lander went 2-for-3 with two runs while Brody Keller also finished 2-3 for the Cadets sixth straight victory. Jared Wade collected a hit, a run and an RBI while Jackson Oliveri hit an RBI-single. Kallin Whelehan added a hit and a run while Kamden Whelehan tallied a hit. For Penfield, Mark Luciano went 1-1 for the lone hit of the game. Hilton takes on No. 5 Webster Schroeder in the championship.

Irondequoit advanced to a championship game for the first time since 2003. The Eagles will face No. 3 Canandaigua in the Class AA2 Championship on Friday, May 29 at Dwyer Stadium, 4 p.m.

Richie Baskin went 3-for-3 with three RBI including a two-run single while Sam Clark finished 2-2 with a single and a double for two RBI and scored twice to pace Canandaigua (NYSSWA Class AA No. 21) to the Class AA2 final. CA last reached a championship game in 2019 – the last of four straight finals appearances. Austin Kierst ended 2-3 with three runs while Tyler Christopher notched a run and two RBI including an RBI-single for the Gray Wolves seventh victory in the last eight outings. Cole Harris hit an RBI-double and scored twice while Jack Clark doubled to drive in a run as well. Cormick Schaeffer tallied a hit and tossed three scoreless innings of two-hit ball with five strikeouts to earn the win while Brandon Dowitsch crossed home plate twice. Griffin Kierst drove in a run. For Brighton, Max Sheehan, Grant Powers and Noah Deitz all recorded a hit apiece while Hudson Coles scored the lone run. Canandaigua matches up with No. 5 Irondequoit in the championship.

Henry Shutts fanned 15 over a complete game shutout of one-hit ball while scoring the lone run of the game to lift Gananda (NYSSWA Class C No. 13) to a championship game for the first time since 2019. Tied through three innings, the senior capitalized on an error to score the eventual game-winning run for the Blue Panthers’ 16th straight victory. Shutts finished with a single and a run while Will Schneemann singled as well. For Pembroke (NYSSWA Class C No. 21), Jacob Johnson doubled for the lone hit of the day while Brayden Lang hurled six innings of two-hit ball with 12 strikeouts and one run. Gananda takes on No. 2 Notre Dame Batavia in the championship on Friday, May 29.

Adyn Horzempa went 3-for-4 with two RBI-singles while Preston Viele posted an RBI-double, an RBI-single and a run to lead Notre Dame Batavia (NYSSWA Class C No. 4) to its third championship game appearance in five years. Evan Fitzpatrick singled and tripled to drive in two runs while fanning nine over six innings of four-hit ball with one run for the Fighting Irish’s 11th straight victory. Drew Beachel finished 2-2 with an RBI and two runs while Chase Antinore hit an RBI-double and scored once. Matthew McCulley and Finn Davies added a hit and a run apiece while Anthony Warner tallied a hit. For Pavilion/York, Ryan Brady and Zach Bauer led the way with a hit and an RBI apiece while Mason Parsons collected a hit and a run. Kayden Skinner recorded a hit while Hayven Cordes crossed home plate once. Notre Dame Batavia will face top-seeded Gananda in the sectional final.

Vinnie D’Agostino hurled a perfect game with 12 strikeouts while finishing with two RBI including an RBI-double and a run to lead Kendall (NYSSWA Class C No. 5) to the Class C2 sectional final in back-to-back years. Andrew Cole led the way with two singles for two RBI while CJ D’Agostino went 2-for-3 with two runs and an RBI-single for the Eagles seventh straight victory. Jonny Conte posted two hits and two runs while Mikey Colucci finished 2-3 with a run. Sammy Conte tallied a hit while Andrew D’Agostino crossed home plate once. Kendall will face No. 2 Genesee Valley-Belfast in a rematch of last year’s championship on Friday, May 29.

Ethan Davenport posted three singles for five RBI and scored twice while Ben Cater scored two times and went 3-for-3 with a two-run homer and an RBI-single to pace Genesee Valley-Belfast (NYSSWA Class C No. 10) to its third straight championshiip game appearance. Davenport also pitched five innings of one-hit ball with seven strikeouts and four runs to earn the win for GV-B’s ninth victory in the last 10 outings. Ian Mackenzie and Derek Calanni both finished with two singles for two RBI apiece while Trent Hutchinson notched two hits including an RBI-single and crossed home plate three times. Carson Foster collected two hits including an RBI-single and a run while Nolan Hunter added a hit and two runs. Damon Davis drove in a run and scored another while Kaden Huffer crossed home plate once. For Caledonia-Mumford, Landon Sheehan led the way with a hit and an RBI while Austin Metzger followed with a hit and a run. Aidan McKay drove in two runs and scored another while Dillon Alcott and Tyler Potter both scored one run apiece. Genesee Valley-Belfast advances to the final to take on top-seeded Kendall in a rematch of last year’s final.
