CLASS A

No. 9 BATAVIA (5-15) 3
No. 8 NEWARK (9-11) 1
Champ Buchholz pitched a complete game on the mound and struck out 14 batters as the Blue Devils plated a pair of runners in the third inning to break a 1-1 tie and move on to quarterfinals. In the pivotal frame, Brody Mazur singled which scored Maggio Buchholz, and then Brock Bigsby connected on a sacrifice fly that scored Mazur to give the Blue Devils the edge. Bigsby also had an RBI double that gave Batavia an early 1-0 lead. Mazur finished 2-for-3 with two runs and a walk. Aaden Calletto singled and walked. Cody Forjone struck out five batters over a complete game on the rubber and was 2-for-3 at the plate for Newark. Keane Brady singled and scored. Carter Balch had a base hit. Ricky Orlapp and Cameron Cruz each walked. Batavia advances to face top-seeded Pittsford Sutherland on Saturday.

CLASS B1

Jameson Hummel pitched a complete game and struck out six batters while Brandon Speranza finished 4-for-5 with a triple and three scored runs as Aquinas cruised to an opening round win. Hummel added a single and an RBI. Michael Duprey ended his afternoon 3-for-5 with a double, three RBI, and two runs. Drew Scorsone doubled, singled, and walked. Ryan Lewin singled twice, scored three times, and plated a runner.  Ryan Wieper connected on a base hit, brought two runners home, walked, and scored. Eddie Mancini walked once and scored. Sean Masiuk singled, scored twice, had an RBI, and walked. Cody Crane struck out 10 batters over six innings and walked for North Rose-Wolcott. Greyson Boogaards and Clayton Collins each singled. Owen DeWispelaere walked. Landen Bundy tossed an inning of relief. Aquinas advances to face No. 2 seed Livonia on Saturday.

Kellen Mahoney tossed a complete game on the mound and struck out 14 batters while adding an RBI double to guide Waterloo into the quarterfinal round. Jaxton Kocur doubled, singled, and plated a pair of runners. Ryder Tam and Logan Schoenheit each singled and scored twice. Chase Brand singled and scored. Ethan D’Archangelo was 2-for-4 with two RBI, a run, and six strikeouts over five innings on the mound for Penn Yan. Ethan Robinson was 2-for-3 with a run and an RBI. Jayden Brown singled and had an RBI. Ryan Creary had a base hit and pitched two innings with three strikeouts. Joshua Morse singled and scored. Waterloo advances to face No. 1 seed Haverling on Saturday.

Anthony Carlisi struck out seven batters over five scoreless innings to help Bishop Kearney/Chesterton/Archangel secure a spot in the Class B2 quarterfinals. Anthony Ortiz doubled, singled, scored, and walked. Henry Collins was 2-for-2 with four RBI, a run, and a walk. Noah Prairie doubled, walked, plated a runner, and scored twice. Athan Valentini had an RBI single and scored twice. Garrett Rupp, Augustine Valentini, and Noah Banks each had a single, an RBI, a walk, and a run. Jackson Stevens scored and had an RBI. Trevor Jensen walked. Caleb Mahoney singled twice and walked for Mynderse. Jerry Furman had a pair of base hits and tossed a third of an inning in relief. Michael Miller struck out five batters over four innings. Josh Hutchins and Carter Fisher each singled. The Kings advance to face No. 2 seed Wellsville on Saturday.

Luke Mest pitched three innings and struck out four batters as the starter while adding an RBI single and a run to help Attica reach the second round. Blaine Dazler struck out six batters over four innings and relief and had an RBI. Josh Diehl scored twice. Blake Donahue, Jakk Chapin, and Ben Wild each plated a runner. The Blue Devils advance to face No. 1 seed Sodus on Saturday.

Micah Marvin was 2-for-3 with a home run, three RBI, three runs, and a walk while Caden Carey tossed three no-hit innings with eight strikeouts to lift Arkport-Canaseraga to the quarterfinal round. Carey added two singles, two runs, and an RBI. Aydan Button tripled, doubled, scored three times, and had two RBI. Curtis Hartman doubled, singled, and knocked in two runs. John Marcus singled twice, scored twice, had two RBI, and walked. Nolan Morey singled, had an RBI, walked twice, and scored twice. Kian Cartella had an RBI single. Drew Glover and Tucker Flaitz each had three strikeouts over an inning of relief. Conor Smith scored three times. Quinton Owens and Brenton Booth each walked once and came around to score. Jacob Bacon crossed home plate once. Jeremy Marrero Santos singled for Mount Morris. Thomas Schmieder III and Edward Colon each walked. Colon pitched three and a third innings and struck out a batter. Jeremiah Roberts struck out two batters in two thirds of an inning. Arkport-Canaseraga advances to face No. 8 seed Lyndonville on Saturday.

Blake Washburn tossed an inning with three strikeouts and singled, scored, had an RBI, and walked. Isaac Wilcox had a two-RBI single, a sacrifice fly, and drew a walk. James Hillman had a two-RBI triple and scored. Connor McCumiskey had an RBI single and scored. Braylon Hatch singled, walked twice, and scored three times. Parker George walked once and came around to score. Noah Roberts singled for Friendship-Scio. Charlie Taylor and SJ Wade each walked. Deacon Brown pitched four and a third innings. Alex Rascoe had a two-RBI single and scored three times. Nicholas Scott singled, had two RBI, and pitched a hitless inning of relief. Bing Zuber crossed home plate three times. Elba advances to face No. 6 seed Andover-Whitesville on Saturday.

Charlie Oakden finished 3-for-3 with two doubles, three runs, five RBI, and a walk while striking out a batter in a perfect inning of relief to help lead Northstar Christian into the quarterfinals. Stone Pagano struck out six batters over four hitless innings, as he and Oakden combined for a no-hitter. Braeden Miller singled three times and had two RBI. Jay Garwood doubled, singled, scored twice, had two RBI, and walked. Jeremiah Schwaderer doubled, had two RBI, scored three times, and walked. Dominic Earner singled twice, walked, and scored. Miles Tomlinson singled, scored twice, drew a walk, and plated a pair of runners. Tysen Deaton singled, scored three times, had an RBI, and walked twice. Jameson Williams scored a run. James Ainsworth tossed three and a third innings on the bump for Jasper-Troupsburg and struck out three batters. Chase Conklin, Justice Bevis, and Zachary Hyman each walked. Nathan Hillier was 2-for-4 with a pair of RBI and a scored run while tossing seven strikeouts over three hitless innings of relief. Ryder Howe singled twice, scored twice, and walked. Nolan Therrien singled, scored, had an RBI, and walked three times. Blake Sanford singled, had an RBI, walked, and scored two runs. Brady Wood walked twice and scored. Aiden Upright singled. Ebersole walked. Travis Chaya pitched four and a third innings as the starter and struck out three batters for Oakfield-Alabama. Hunter Tobolski doubled and scored. He also tossed an inning and two thirds in relief and picked up four strikeouts. Alex Ohlson had a two-RBI single. Jackson Gilbert and Liam Gibson each singled. Jake Gehlert walked and came around to score. Chaya and Ryan Schnaufer each walked. Keshequa advances to face No. 4 seed Northstar Christian this Saturday.

Colton Calladine turned in a statline of two doubles, two singles, four RBI, and three scored runs to help lead Andover-Whitesville to a spot in the next round. Vincent Joyce homered, plated three runners, scored twice, and walked. Rogan Perkins was 2-for-3 with two RBI and a run. Gavin Frungillo had a two-run homer and struck out six batters over four and two third innings.Carter Grice doubled, scored, and had an RBI. Skyler Orpet and Brody Vance each singled, scored three times, and walked twice. James Miller-Young singled, scored, had an RBI, and walked. Jake Mattison walked once and scored two runs. Vance tossed a third of an inning in relief. Devin Stamets and Joshua Carlton each singled, had an RBI, scored, and walked for Avoca-Prattsburgh. Evan Obrochta, Ilai Bickenstorfer, and Wyatt Chandler each walked and came around to score. Zachary Heale tossed three and a third innings and struck out seven batters. Bickenstorfer struck out a batter over an inning of relief. Stamets pitched a third of an inning. Conner Wakefield walked. Andover-Whitesville advances to face No. 3 seed Elba on Saturday.

Quincey McClinsey hurled four no-hit innings with eight strikeouts and singled to help Lyndonville clinch a spot in the round of eight. Lane Woodworth scored Atticus Mank on an RBI single in the bottom of the second to give Lyndonville the lead, and after Austin Fonda scored on a passed ball, Shawn Robertson singled in the third inning to score Colton Smith and bring the game to its final score. Mank walked twice and tossed the final three innings in relief, striking out six. Fonda had two singles. Devon Babcock and Landon Markidis each singled. Cooper Pirro pitched six innings for Finney and retired eight batters on strikes. At the plate, Pirro singled and walked. Tyler Little doubled, while Luke Little singled. Josh Best and Romeo Pauly each walked twice. Lyndonville advances to face top-seeded Arkport-Canaseraga on Saturday.
