Shea Drazkowski topped Caledonia-Mumford with a two-run triple in the sixth inning to give the Raiders a 2-1 lead. Colleen Talty added a RBI single. Grace Beach hurled a complete game with nine strikeouts in the win. Held without a hit through the first five innings, Talty reached on an error and moved to second on a Mia Wilson bunt. After a passed ball and Beach walked to put runners on the corners, Drazkowski delivered. In the seventh, Talty drove in Nora Walton with a base hit and eventually scored.
“Really proud of the grit the girls showed in the sixth and seventh innings to dig in and put up some runs,” Cal-Mum head coach Dan Dickens said via email. “Shea and Colleen are both great leaders for the team, and it was great to see them have big hits late in the game. Grace was outstanding for us in the circle and their girl was really impressive as well, it was a high intensity softball game that gets both teams better prepared for sectionals.”
