Jones named RCAC Player of the Year

Kaysia Jones averaged nearly a double-double and topped a career milestone during the 2025-26 Section V Girls’ Basketball season.

Rochester City Athletic Conference (RCAC) coaches named the Edison Tech senior league Player of the Year.

Jones scored 24.3 points per game, grabbed 8.0 rebounds and handed out 6.0 assists in leading the Inventors to a No. 2 seed in Class AAA.

The 5-foot-6 guard topped the 30-point mark in four separate games including a 40-point effort and another in which scored 50. She finished the season with 437 total points.

Jones scored 1,389 points in her career.

East’s Semaj Jackson and Darianna Weathers joined Jones on the RCAC First Team All-League along with Breyelle Geiger (School of the Arts), Jasmyne Jones (School of the Arts) and Kimora Hampton (Wilson/Early College).
