Castle Packs Power Monday Softball Wrap: Hilton’s Murphy clubs 11 hits in DH; Wayland-Cohocton’s Robbins fans 11

Maddie Murphy led Hilton going 5-for-6 with six RBI and three runs scored. Juliana Saporito was 4-5 with three RBI and three runs scored as well. Jordan Brozak crossed home three times. Hannah Dear 3-4 with two RBI and Grace Speer finished 3-4 and drove in three runs. Caroline Schmitte picked up the win in the circle.

BROCKPORT (0-1) 1

Allie Sherman singled, walked and scored the lone Brockport run. Olivia Zimmerman accounted for an RBI. Hannah Carpenter and Mariah Sagrafena had a base hit apiece.

MEDINA (VI) 23

Maddie Murphy went 6-for-6 with six runs scored and six RBI to lead Hilton. Juliana Saporito went 3-5 with four runs scored and three RBI. Mack Borrelli was 2-4 with three runs scored and three RBI. Grace Speer had 4 hits and drove in six runs. Hannah Dear had three hits and two RBI. Kylie Ross and Paige Batz added two hits apiece for the Cadets.

HAVERLING (1-1) 9

Makayla Smith finished 3-for-4 including a two-run home run in the sixth when Haverling scored six times to pull away from a tie game. Cailyn Cagle led the decisive inning with a base hit. Abigail Whaley followed with a double, and Kasandra Plewa delivered the go-ahead run with a single that brought in a pair. Smith added to the onslaught with a round-tripper. Whaley was 3-3 with a walk and two runs scored. Gabrielle Shroyer went 2-4 with a run scored. Peyton Lathrop singled, drove in a run and also scored. Sierra Haight was 2-3 with a walk and an RBI. Shroyer struck out 14 and allowed four runs on twwo hits and nine walks for the win. Livonia’s Gwenyth Strom and Alexa Olsen had a double apiece. Strom walked three times and scored twice out of the leadoff spot. Olsen drove in a run and also scored. Clare Stephens walked and scored.

WAYLAND-COHOCTON (2-0) 13
HORNELL (0-1) 0 F/5

Junior pitcher Molly Robbins struck out 11 against three walks without allowing a hit to lead Wayland-Cohocton. Ava Senka and Shaila Pragle had three hits apiece to lead an offense that put crooked numbers on the board in each of the first three innings. Senka led the game with a double and later scored as part of a three-run first. The Golden Eagles added seven in the second and two more in the third. Senka scored twice and drove in a run. Pragle crossed home three times. Emily Moran was 2-for-4 with an RBI. Sasha Abramowski singled and drove in three runs. Natalie Williamson, Heidi Hally and Riley Burke scored two runs apiece. Robbins singled, walked and drove in a run at the plate.

YORK/PAVILION (0-2) 0
LE ROY (1-0) 8

Bryar Biracree struck out 15 and hurled a 2-hitter to lead Le Roy. Biracree also went 2-for-4 at the plate with an RBI. Kylie Wilson was 1-3 with a three-run home run. Elayna Leitten finished 1-1 with two RBI while Addison Farrell and Lila Fortes both singled and drove in a run. Haylee Cordes led York-Pavilion going 2-3 at the plate with a double and 2 stolen bases. Faith Layland also had a hit.

GENESEO (0-1) 2
LETCHWORTH (1-0) 5

Trailing 2-1 in the bottom of the fifth with two outs, Katrina Snyder connected on an RBI double to knot the game and eventually score the go-ahead run on a wild pitch to lead the Letchworth offense. Ninth-grade pitcher Kendall Jines struck out 12 and allowed two runs on two walks and seven hits to pick up the win. Charity Scott finished 1-for-2 with a solo inside-the-park home run. Lizzy Fuller was 1-3 with an RBI single. Lilly DeRock also drove in a run with a base hit. Autumn Man and Bri Burel both were 1-3. Geneseo’s Abigail Radesi, Addy McDonald and Kendal Bennett each went 2-3. McDonald struck out 14 without issuing a walk.

“It was a great softball game and I’m really proud of the girls and their tenacity and grit,” Letchworth head coach Chad DeRock said via email. “Our seniors played great.  Freshman Kendall Jines pitching in her first varsity game was awesome in the circle.  A great team win tonight versus a very talented Geneseo team.”

Peyton Leitten led the Perry offense going 4-for-5 with a double, triple. and two stolen bases.  Maddi Monteleone went 3-4 with three RBI.  Shelby Wolcott added two hits and scored twice.

ALDEN (VI) 22

FILLMORE (0-0) 16

Mattie McCumiskey, Morghyn Ross and Tenlee Miller had a double apiece to pace a Fillmore offense which scored seven times in the first inning and added six more runs in the second. McCumiskey went 2-for-5 with three RBI and a run scored. Mylee Miller and Ross both finished with two hits and three runs scored. Miller drove in a pair. Tenlee Miller had three RBI and two runs scored. Chloe Hennard and Gabbie Fraser both scored twice. Lily Sisson singled, drove in a run and scored once. M Miller started and struck out eight over 3.2 innings of work in the circle. Abby Swift hurled 2.1 scoreless innings of relief.

GENESEE VALLEY-BELFAST (0-1) 1
AVOCA-PRATTSBURGH (2-0) 7

Meyah Putnam struck out nine against two walks and one hit along with tripling and scoring a run to lead Avoca-Prattsburgh. AJ McIntyre connected on a two-run home run for the Titans while Peyton Hopkins doubled twice, walked and scored a run. Charlotte Peck had three singles, a stolen base and two runs scored. Addy Stone singled, drove in a run, stole a base and had a sacrifice. Danica Wilson drove in two runs. Olivia Mullen singled and scored.
