Constantino Financial Wednesday Baseball Wrap: Trio of Kendall pitchers combine on five-inning no-hitter; Weber paces HF-L

HONEOYE FALLS-LIMA (1-0) 8

A quartet of pitchers combined on a one-hitter, and the Honeoye Falls-Lima offense collected nine hits to pick up the win in non-league action. Jake Weber finished 2-for-3 with a double and two runs scored to pace the Cougars who scored two runs in each of the third and fourth innings before pulling away with four in the sixth. Owen Kearney doubled, walked twice, drove in a run and also scored twice. Marshall Adams and Ollie Osterling singled, walked and drove in two runs apiece. Nate Meachem tripled and scored. Brian Finn singled and also came around to score. Alex Smith drove in a run with a base hit. Brody Bockus singled, drove in a run and scored. Weber struck out nine in three innings of relief work to pick up the win. The senior right-hander faced 10 batters and allowed one walk. Kearney started and fanned three in two innings of work. Meachem and Aidan Kearney both hurled a scoreless frame. Ethan Loop had the lone hit for Wayland-Cohocton.

AVON (1-0) 9
MOUNT MORRIS (0-1) 7

Michael Saez went 1-for-3 with the go-ahead RBI single in the sixth inning to lead Avon.Collin Roberts finished 2-4 in the win with 2 RBI.  Nick Fries was 1-4 with an RBI and two runs scored. Fries also earned the win coming on in relief in the fourth.  He scattered four hits over four innings striking out seven. Dominic Lapiana led Mount Morris going 2-4 with two RBI.

PAVILION/YORK (1-0) 15
CALEDONIA-MUMFORD (0-2) 5

Trent Englert finished 4-for-4 with a triple to pace a Pavilion/York offense which collected 16 hits – six of those for extra bases. Liam Campbell was 3-for-3 with two doubles and a walk in the win. Hayven Cordes went 3-5 while Lincoln Mitrano and Ryan Brady had a double apiece in the win.

SODUS (1-0) 4

Parker Orbaker hurled a two-hit shutout to lead Sodus in Wayne County League action. Orbaker struck out 13 without issuing a walk. The junior right-hander retired the first seven batters he faced and 16 of 17 overall. He faced two batters over the limit. Gauge Johnson and Wade DeRue finished with two hits apiece to lead the offense. Johnson led the fourth with a base hit and later scored what would be the winning run when he stole home. DeRue also had a base hit in the frame when the Spartans scored three times. Carson Hogan singled and scored as well in the fourth. Johnson finished 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored. DeRue was 2-3 and also crossed home. Garrett Barron singled, walked and scored once. Jayce Cornwell and Vincent Nicoletta had a hit apiece for Clyde-Savannah.

Nic Cole, CJ D’Agostino and Vinnie D’Agostino combined to throw a five-inning no hitter, and the Kendall offense banged out 17 hits in the win. Cole started and struck out four in two innings of work. CJ D’Agostino set down three on strikes over a pair of innings. Vinnie D’Agostino struck out the side in the fifth. Jake Abrams went 3-for-4 at the plate with three doubles and four RBI The junior left fielder connected on a two-out, run-scoring two-bagger in the first when Kendall pushed six runs across the plate. Andrew Cole followed with a two-run single. Cole was 4-4 on the day with a double, triple, four RBI and two runs scored. Johnny Conte singled, drove in a run and also scored. CJ D’Agostino was 2-3 with a double, three runs scored and an RBI. Vinnie D’Agostino singled, walked, drove in a run and scored twice. Nic Cole singled, walked, had an RBI and two runs scored. Sammy Conte was 2-3 with a double, three RBI and two runs scored. Adrian Bucci singled, drove in a run and scored. Michael Colucci walked and came around to cross home.
