Emma Johnson finished 2-for-4 with with two RBI including a walk-off single to lift Eastridge. Johnson scored Chloe Welch from second base with the game winner. Josslyn Siembor was 1-3 at the plate with a home run. Jalissa Crittenden struck out six and allowed one earned run in a complete-game effort. HF-L’s Georgia Brownsword was 1-3 with an RBI and a run scored.

Grace Beach struck out five and hurled a complete game 2-hitter while going 3-for-4 at the plate with two RBI to lead Caledonia-Mumford. Shea Drazkowski was 3-4 with a triple and four RBI while Colleen Talty 3-4 with two doubles and three RBI to lead the offense. Kylie Padlick-Field had a double and scored three runs. Tori Schumacher and London Mattingly both singled and scored. Emma Wyskiel had an RBI. York/Pavilion’s Megan MacKay struck out three over five innings of work in the circle. Charlotte Rudgers, Maddy Ezard, Faith Layland and Haylee Cordes each had a hit for the Knights.
“Always good to start the season off with a win and hit the ball as hard as we did throughout the lineup,” Cal-Mum head coach Dan Dickens said via email. “Was really happy with our defense and we turned a great double play to end the fourth inning. I think it benefitted us playing York-Pavilion early they have some talent and will just keep getting better as the year progresses.”

Brooke McGregor struck out 10 in a six-inning complete game effort and went 2-for-3 at the plate with a double and two RBI to lead Livonia. Gwen Strom finished 2-3 out of the leadoff spot with a double, triple, walk, two RBI and three runs scored to pace the offense. Strom led the bottom of the first with a double and eventually scored on a wild pitch as the Bulldogs pushed across three runs in the frame on the way to a 7-0 lead after two innings. Brook Minery doubled and scored twice in the win. Chloe Meys was 1-4 with two RBI and two runs scored. Alexa Olsen tripled and drove in a run. Karly Lawton and Madi Beach both singled, walked and scored twice. Clare Stephens finished with two RBI and two runs scored. Dansville’s Brooke Miller was 2-3 with an RBI. Grace Bowes singled and scored for the Mustangs.

Peyton Hopkins finished 3-for-4 with a double, two RBI and three runs scored at the plate while hurling a complete game in the circle to lead Avoca-Prattsburgh. Hopkins singled and scored in a three-run first inning. AJ McIntyre was 2-for-2 including the go-ahead solo shot in the third inning. McIntyre walked twice, drove in a pair of runs and scored three times. Meyah Putnam singled, walked and scored twice out of the leadoff spot. Brooke Verskiever and Allison Travis also scored a run apiece. Hopkins struck out four. She allowed five runs (two earned) on four hits and a walk. Haverling’s Peyton Lathrop was 2-3 with a solo home run and a double. Abigail Whaley andMakayla Smith both singled and scored. Sierra Haight and Kara Burlingame also crossed home for the Rams.
