Ninth-grader Ayden Thomas scored 16 points in his first varsity game to lead Monroe. Tahjier Holmes added 15 in the win. Navareon Patton and Jordan Reis had eight apiece for the Redjackets.

Felix Vazquez scored 15 including seven in the third quarter when Edison built a 43-26 lead. Michael Byrd and Cyrus Bridgewater added 11 and 10 points respectively in the win. Karron Mack (9), Royal Alexander (7), Javier Medina (6) and Tyreese Redden (6) rounded out the scoring for the Inventors. Zaquan Cohen and Ciere Dean scored eight apiece for Rochester Prep. Prince Massey added five points. Rashiem Brooks (4), Michael Maxwell (2), Jermaine Whittick (3) and Zykell Fields (3) also scored.

ROCHESTER ACADEMY (6-9) 61

Devin Dillon finished with a game-high 23 points and Junayde Dunn-Richardson posted a double-double as World of Inquiry won for the fifth time in six games. Dillon connected on three 3-pointers to lead the Griffins which built a 34-18 lead heading into overtime. Dunn-Richardson scored 12 points and grabbed 12 rebounds in the win. Marcus Norwood added nine for World of Inquiry. Curtis Bell (5), Saeed Erving (7), Kenny Grimes (9), Richone Washington (3) and Desmond Jackson (4) also scored for World of Inquiry. Shahmere Hamilton led Rochester Academy with 20 points including 12 in the fourth quarter. Rondell Williams scored 15 for the Racers while Ahmed Haji had 11. Jayden Mason (9), Shemar Johnson (3) and Sharif Haji (3) also scored.

Jesse Lynn finished with a game-high 24 points including three in overtime to lead Wilson in RCAC action. Lynn hit five 3-pointers in the game and scored nine points in the third quarter when the Wildcats built a double-digit lead. Aaron Riley added 15 in the win. Jayden Everett had 11. Jayden Ingram (7), Corey Faison (4) and Navon Fuqua (7) rounded out the scoring for Wilson. Padilla’s Isaiah Caruthers scored seven of his team-high 16 points in the fourth quarter when the Bulldogs erased an 11-point deficit to send the game to overtime. Hassan Isgowe and Sergio Rosario added 13 and 11 points respectively for Padilla. L’Trail St. Fleurant (9), Jaquan Gaskin (8), Ty’Shawn Martino (2) and Khyrese Boose (2) also scored.

NORTHSTAR CHRISTIAN (14-1) 62 (F/OT)

Max Skolen scored 18 including four in overtime as Northstar Christian won its ninth straight game. Skolen hit once from the field and then converted two free throw attempts – part of an overall effort that saw the Knights go 8-for-8 from the stripe in the extra session. Skolen also grabbed 11 rebounds in the win. Trailing 36-32 heading into the fourth quarter, four different players connected from behind the 3-point arc. Jay Garwood finished with a pair of triples, including one with 8 seconds remaining in regulation to send the game into overtime. The junior also grabbed 13 rebounds. Kingston Downs, Reid Thompson and Miles Tomlinson also found the range from distance in the fourth. Tomlinson scored nine in the game. Downs had eight points, eight assists and five steals. Thompson accounted for seven points. Tristan Dicks (5) and Jaeden Phillips (6) also scored for Northstar. Eric Davis Jr., of Global Concepts, led all scorers with 14 points. Josiah Clay and Jaiden Bennefeild had 12 while Jose Castro Jr. added 11 points for the Gators. Juan Pagan (4), Shawndale Lipscomb (2) and Abdul Baide (2) rounded out the scoring.

FAIRPORT (13-0) 79

Jon Roessel and Hadi Dergham combined for 15 points in the third quarter when Fairport outscored Victor 31-21 to take an 18-point lead into the final eight minutes of action. Roessel scored all nine of his points in the frame to lead the Red Raiders which are ranked No. 14 NYSSWA Class AAA. Dergham added six of his team-high 20. Alex Grejda and Noah Meabon finished with 14 and 13 respectively in the win. Gannon Culver scored nine. Trey Bauza (3), Sam Roselli (7) and Antonio Nurse (4) also contributed to the offense. Victor’s Ben Fell scored six of his 20 points in the first quarter when the Blue Devils jumped out to a 19-12 lead. Ravi Chitre scored 14 while Timmy McAuliffe had 11. RJ Johnson (8), JJ Mastin (7) and Andre Poselovich (3) also scored.

Jake McCarthy scored 18 points, and CJ Johnson added 16 as Penfield, ranked No.1 NYSSWA Class AA, won its sixth straight game. Ryan Savino added 12 in the win. Jackson Green (8), Aaron Hardaway (9), Liam Dunne (5), Malcolm Bradley-Phillips (5), Dallas Crawford (2), Dom Fantigrossi (2) and Ethan McEntire (3) also scored for the Patriots. Jayden Hibbard led Hilton with 10 points. Kallin Whelehan (8), Nathan McConnell (8), Shane Thompson (6), Cooper Streb (5), Matt Kosiorek (4), Alec Frazier (2), Jackson Oliveri (2) and Tyler Reger (3) also scored for the Cadets.

Henry Bonn and Jaden Kyles combined for 44 points as Webster Thomas won for the second time in three games. Bonn connected 10 times from the floor and converted 4-of-5 free throws as part of a game-high 24 points. Kyles hit nine times from the field and added 20. Mateo Pietrantoni accounted for 13 points in the win. Jackson Coles (5), Sean Griffin (4) and Danny Check (4) also scored for the Titans. Gates Chili’s Nemo Pye scored 17 to lead the Spartans. Jaden Robinson, Jaylen Givens and Joey Vigerzi each scored 11 points. Tremier Lewis had 10. Chris Elliott scored six.

CHURCHVILLE-CHILI (7-8) 59
IRONDEQUOIT (13-2) 64

Senior center Anthony Major posted a double-double of 16 points and 16 rebounds to lead Irondequoit to its fifth straight win. Major also blocked four shots on the night. Junior guard Roman Maldonado scored nine of his 16 points in the second quarter when Irondequoit used a 17-7 advantage to build a 16-point lead heading into halftime. Lincoln Johnston (2), Maurice Clark (5), Tahmaj Pope (8), Jayden Patterson (9), Yaxiel Ramirez (3) and Josh Morse (5) also scored for Irondequoit. Churchville-Chili’s Jacob McGowan hit four 3-pointers and and finished with 16 points for the Saints which pulled within three at 62-59 with 15 seconds remaining in the game. Jason Small also scored 16 for the Saints. Landon Healey (9), Jaxon Tensley (2), Zyon Beachum (5), Brayden Stedman (9) and Jacob Gonzalez (2) each contributed to the C-C offense.

PITTSFORD MENDON (12-1) 72

Trailing by 15 at half, Joshua Shadders scored 16 of his game-high 25 points coming out of the break, and Pittsford Mendon ran its win streak to nine games. Shadders connected on six field goals and converted 4-of-5 free throws over the final 16 minutes of action. Cole Halpin added all eight of his points after halftime while Trevor Nally accounted for six of his 13 in the fourth quarter. Amari Coleman had 12 points in the win. Max Liberatos (6), John Leither (4) and Carmen Esposito (4) rounded out the scoring for the Vikings. Russell Ellis led Athena with 23 points. Caleb Brown added 15, and Cole Poth added 13 for the Trojans. Colton Waterman (8), Xaviel Lewis (5) and Ethan Gorham (3) also scored for Athena.

Jacob Weber hit a pair of 3-pointers and scored 10 points to lead Honeoye Falls-Lima to back-to-back wins. JJ Bills and Brody Swan added eight points apiece for the Cougars while Shane Samson accounted for seven. Grady Goodberlet (6), James Adams (5), Grady McCaffrey (3), Sam Jokl (4), Nathan Meacham (2), Nathan Concord (2), Oliver Osterling (4), Cade Merrill (3), Christian Oathout (6) and Brian Finn (2) also scored for HF-L. Jarvis Harvard led Greece Olympia with 13 points. Torrince Kendrick-Turner had nine points for the Spartans. Xavier Ball (6), Junior Kamara (2), Cameron Dewar (3) and Arnold Tossah (2) also scored for Olympia.

Tate York scored 10 of his 14 points in the third quarter when Canandaigua pulled away from a tie game to take its fifth decision in six outings. York connected five times from the floor in the frame when the Gray Wolves used a 12-5 advantage to take a 31-24 lead into the final eight minutes of action. Chase Senn led Canandaigua with 19 points including eight in the fourth quarter. Jimmy Spinelli had 11. Landon Simpson (2) and Ryan McKeegan (1) also scored. Eastridge’s Xzavier Hughey scored 11 to lead the Lancers. Myron Stamps added seven. Brailon Johnson (5), Kelvin Ivey (2), Shcydavion Barrett (5), Zacmon Krupa (3), Tevin Haymon (2) and Henry Miller (3) also scored.

Jackson Birch scored 20 points and Sam Byrne added 19 to lead Pittsford Sutherland, ranked No. 2 NYSSWA Class AA. Chase Dermody added 11 for the Knights who have 12 double-digit wins on the season. Tyler Allen (8), Teddy Winter (2), Quentin Howe (6) and Hudson Lazenby (7) also scored for Sutherland. with 12 points. Lee Sanchez led Odyssey with 11 points. Kamari Bailey added 10. Hector Bermudez (5), Isaiah Bell (4), Marlon Tillman (3) and Camron O’Hara (2) also scored.

MJ Marvin scored nine of his team-high 19 points in the first half as Wayne built a nine-point lead and held on to avenge an earlier loss with its eighth straight win. Marvin connected four times from the floor and converted a free throw over the first 16 minutes of action. Richie Miles hit four 3-pointers and finished with 16 points in the win. Aidan Twist added 11. Jack Miles scored eight for the Eagles. Geneva’s Kaden Larsen led all scorers with 22 points and added 11 rebounds, six assists, two steals and a block. Jahzire White added 10 points and eight rebounds. Jake Irland had eight points. Prodigy Irvin (2), Erick Figueroa (1), Jonathan Colon-Anderson (2) and Jason Turner (2) also scored for the Panthers. Geneva took a 55-41 decision when the Finger Lakes East foes met on December 16th.

Logan Bauer scored 10 points including a go-ahead 3-pointer off a screen from Cam Quick to lead Palmyra-Macedon in Finger Lakes East action. Brandon Conley and Eli Smith scored 11 apiece to lead the Red Raiders. Quick added four points in the win. Joey Hagen (6), Blake Stephens (4), Carsen Ribstein (4) and Will Frick (2) also contributed for Pal-Mac. Waterloo’s Ryder Tam led all scorers with 14 points. Hayden Willett and Nate Barron had 12 apiece. Carter Peterson scored 11 and Xavier Brown had two points for the Tigers.

BreSean Totton posted a 14-point, 13-rebound double-double to lead Bloomfield which has won four of its past five games. Gunner Vogel topped all scorers with 22 points. Grady Rogers added 14. Landon Lucas finished with six points, 10 rebounds and five steals. Griffin Ward (2), Devin Hagen (3), Macoy Rogers (3) and Dagan Brewster (4) also scored for the Bombers. Dillon Janke led Red Jacket with 17 points. Jackson Kennelly had 12. Charlie Kolodziejski (6), Ashton Trapp (2), Dixon Hobart (6) and Kullen Hill (4) also scored.

WAYLAND-COHOCTON (6-7) 60

Alex Fedorchuk finished with 14 points including a go-ahead three with 7.7 seconds remaining to lift Wayland-Cohocton. Cole Hanggi led the Wayland-Cohocton scoring with 23 points. Orion Walker (7), Josh Stanley (5) and Ethan Bauer (4) also scored for the Eagles. Jack Henry led Livonia with 16 points. Teammate Oliver Taylor added 11. Owen Austin (9), Carter Richardson (8) and Caleb Martin (5) also scored.

“Our PK-2nd Bouncin’ Bulldogs performed their halftime shows tonight, making for an extra-special atmosphere,” Livonia head coach Jonah Martin said. “The game was a tight one the whole way with Way.-Co. hanging in there and finishing strong. The ending was an unfortunate one for our group but one from which we will learn.”

Matthew Hockey scored 12 of his game-high 20 points in the fourth quarter as Le Roy used a 15-0 run to rally from nine down and win for the fourth time in as many games. Hockey converted 10-of-12 free throws over the final eight minutes of play. Grady Gilligan’s 3-pointer tied the game at 53 with 5:42 remaining in the fourth. Gilligan finished with 19 points, 12 rebounds and two steals in the win. Hockey added eight assists and three steals. Aidan Weaver also posted a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Brayden Chase had four points and four steals. Cole Tonzi accounted for four points, five assists and two steals. Jagger Smith (4) and Brady McClurg (3) also scored for the Oatkan Knights. Nick Fries led Avon with 16 points and five assists. Cam Gibson had 12 points and six rebounds. Hunter Secker contributed nine points, seven rebounds and six assists. Kal Dolgos (9) and Nate Urbanik (9) also scored for the Riverhawks.

Bentley Decker and Owen Burlingame scored 11 points apiece to lead Haverling. Connor Binkowski added 10. Josh Wheeler scored nine for the Rams. Clay Rigdon led Dansville with 13 points. Cody Moran (4), Trea Nickerson (2), Gavin Halbert (4), Cam Foster (3), Mason Forrester (6) and Karson Calvert (2) also scored for the Mustangs.

CALEDONIA-MUMFORD (7-5) 41

Shay Hepler scored all eight of his points in the third quarter when Geneseo pulled away from a one-point game to win its seventh straight. Hepler connected on a pair of 3-pointers in the decisive frame when the Blue Devils used a 20-9 advantage to uild a double-digit lead. Hepler also had eight points, seven rebounds and four steals in the win. Oren Ray led the way with 15 points and eight assists. Avery Hepler hit four times from distance as part of 14-point effort. Nick Connor had eight points and six rebounds. Cam Corrocio accounted for five points and nine rebounds. Sean McNear led Cal-Mum with 12 points and five rebounds. Trent Kessler (7), Aaron Blaker (6), Christian Backus (5), Austin Metzger (4), Mason Duryea (3) and Jacob Wiley (4) rounded out the scoring for the Raiders.

“Cal-Mum is very well-coached and came out with a great game plan and outplayed us in the first half,” Geneseo head coach Gregg Hepler said via email. “I’m proud of our team for coming out with tremendous intensity and having the mental toughness to make the halftime adjustments and pull away in the second half.”

Attica’s Blake Kines finished with 17 points and 11 rebounds. Teammate Justin Stockweather had 11 points and 10 rebounds.

Nolan Peterson led Pembroke with 15 points. Owen Shultz added 10 points while Luca Baker had seven points and five assists. Gage Baker contributed four assists in the win. Vinnie D’Agostino led Kendall with 14 points. CJ D’Agostino had 12 points.

“Tonight was a really fun night for us,” Pembroke head coach Matthew Shay said via email. “Playing well against a tough, well-coached team really shows the growth we’ve made in the first part of the season. I was pleased with how my guys responded, especially after seeing multiple defenses. Some guys really stepped up—Luca Baker hit some big shots, and Mason Weatherby knocked down a huge three at the buzzer to end the half. I’m really pleased with the contributions we’re getting from multiple guys.”

Mason Watterson finished with 31 points, six rebounds, two assists and four steals as Oakfield-Alabama jumped out to a 31-21 lead at halftime. Gabe Smith added 13 points, six rebounds and two blocks. Bryce Harkness had eight points and seven rebounds while Hudson George accounted for six points, two rebounds, three assists and steals. Lane Woodworth led Lyndonville with 23 points. Colton Smith (8) and Quincey McLinsey (7) also scored.

Jonah Bialek poured in 43 points to tie the program’s single-game record and lead Fillmore, ranked No. 3 NYSSWA Class C. Bialek connected 15 times from the floor including five from behind the 3-point arc. The junior also converted 8-of-11 free throws. Jordan Bialek added 13 in the win. Mac Nusbickel had 10. Carson Sanasith (6), Isaiah Sisson (8) and Kallan Sanasith also contributed to the Eagles’ offense. Grant Preston led Genesee Valley-Belfast with 16 points. Cane Truesdell had 14. Ian MacKenzie (9), Callahan Tallman (7), Lannden Tilton (5) and Kenton Schultz also scored.

“I am so proud of the team,” Fillmore head coach Randy Crouch said via email. “We have had four to six guys sick and absent all week.  We didn’t have a full practice all week. Today, we were short four and had two others still not feeling great, and as of 1PM we weren’t sure we were even going to play.  By 2 PM I was scrambling around trying to find some JV guys fill out the roster for tonight.

“The story really is Jonah.  I challenged him to get “downhill” all night and push the tempo.  I told him to go against his character and be a little selfish and carry us.  He was phenomenal.  With the last basket he tied our all-time single game scoring record, and he was just relentless on both ends.  Just an amazing performance. Hopefully we can get healthy, with a tough Geneseo team coming to town Monday.”

Gabe Strope scored 10 his 24 points in the first half as Addison built a double-digit lead at 32-19 heading into the break. Tyler Miller added 13 points in the win while Cameron Taylor had 10. Keaton Quick (6), Cooper Miles (2), Yowrick Meade (2), Johnny Knaisch (2), Sawyer Westervelt (3) and Weston Nichols (2) also scored for the Knights. Hammondsport’s Henry Morrison topped all scorers 28 points to go with 15 rebounds, 1 assist a block and three steals. Gadge Buck had eight points and seven rebounds. Miles Buckley finished with six points.

AVOCA-PRATTSBURGH (6-8) 45
CAMPBELL-SAVONA (3-13) 26

Austin Swift scored eight of his team-high 14 points in the third quarter when Avoca-Prattsburgh pulled away from a one-possession game. Leading 15-12, Swift connected three times from the floor including a two from behind the 3-point arc and added a pair of free throws to pace a Titans’ offense that used a 15-2 advantage to take a 16-point lead into the final quarter of play. Colin Zurlick added 10 points in the win. Carter Button scored seven. Zach Heale (5), Connor Parulski (4), Landon White (2) and Josh Carlton (3) also score for A-P. Dakota Ogden led Campbell-Savona with eight points. Chance Miller had seven. Jackson Payne (2), Lukas Carapella (3), Tavion Mathis (1), Rece Jamison (3) and Carter Taft also scored for C-S.

CUBA-RUSHFORD (14-1) 67
BOLIVAR-RICHBURG (4-11) 45

Peyton Joy and Adam Roe posted a double-double apiece to lead Cuba-Rushford which opened a 43-10 lead at halftime and went on to win a fifth straight game. Joy scored 10 of his points in the first half and grabbed 16 rebounds in the win to go with four blocked shots. Roe finished with 10 points, 17 rebounds and six assists. Carter Brown handed out 11 assists, grabbed six rebounds and scored seven points. Carter Getz and Coleman Searle scored 13 apiece in the win. Lucas Haskins rounded out the scoring with six points. Kingston Loucks led Bolivar-Richburg with 20 points. Braden Zilker had eight. Javier Rodriguez (6), Julian Weekley (4), Trey Pettit (3), Hayden Schappacher (2) and Karson Baker (2) also scored for the Wolverines.

“Very happy with our energy and effort on the boards the first half,” Cuba-Rushford head coach Patrick Wight said via email. “Carter did a nice job handling the ball tonight with Zach being out (flu).  He got the bigs (Adam and Peyton) going early and they really controlled the paint.  We limited BR to one offensive rebound the first half which allowed us to get out in transition and find some easy buckets.  

“Carter Getz did a good job finishing and hitting his open shots.  Lucas Haskins did a nice job coming off the bench and hit two big shots and handled the ball well.  He hasn’t gotten many minutes and stepped up tonight when we needed him.  Very proud of our effort for most of the game, we did get sloppy with the ball in the second half.  But happy to come out with a win.”
