McCarthy went 1-of-2 from the free throw line and added a pair of field goals in the extra session when the Patriots outscored Rush-Henrietta, 6-0. The junior forward also hit a free throw with 3.9 seconds remaining to send the game into overtime. Jackson Green hit three 3-pointers as part of a 17-point night for Penfield. Aaron Hardaway added 13 points. CJ Johnson and Ryan Savino scored three apiece for the Patriots. Rush-Henrietta’s Milan Griffiths scored seven of his 12 points in the fourth quarter when the Royals Comets erased a 13-point deficit to take a one-point lead late in the game. Trailing 41-28, Griffiths connected twice from behind the 3-point arc in the quarter when four different players combined to hit six from distance over the final eight minutes of regulation. Kylan Burke led the Royal Comets with 15 including three 3-pointers. Kaden Thwaits hit two triples in the fourth as part of an 11-point effort on the night. Hadi Dergham scored seven of his game-high 23 points in the third quarter when Fairport, No. 15 NYSSWA Class AAA, pulled away from a single-digit game. Dergham connected twice from the floor including once from behind the 3-point and converted 2-of-4 free throw attempts as the Red Raiders used a 26-8 advantage to take a 27-point lead into the final eight minutes of action. Teammate Sam Roselli scored eight of his 17 points during the third. Gannon Culver and Alex Grejda added eight apiece in the win. Jon Roessel (6), Antonio Nurse (4), Noah Meabon (6), Ethan Torres (2), Jeremiah Crocker (1) and Matt Swan (2) also contributed to the scoring for Fairport. Alex Bartnicki and Chris Unger both scored 10 points to lead Schroeder. Kalin Watkins Jr. added eight for the Warriors. Andrew Lozovatskiy had seven points. Anthony Major and Roman Maldonado combined for 13 points in the third quarter when Irondequoit used a 15-2 run to build a double-digit lead and go on to win a third straight game. Major connected four times from the floor coming out of the break, and Maldonado added five points to stake the Eagles to a 56-41 lead. The duo finished the night with 17 points apiece. Major had eight rebounds. Tahmaj Pope added 11 points on the strength of three 3-pointers. Josh Morse scored 10 and grabbed 11 rebounds. Luke O’Brien (6), Maurice Clark (5), Jayden Patterson (6) and Yaxiel Ramirez (2) also contributed to the Irondequoit offense. Jah Joseph paced the Brighton offense with 17 points. Caleb Brown hit three 3-pointers as part of 27-point night, and Greece Athena won its fifth straight game. Brown scored six in the second quarter when the Trojans dug themselves out of a 23-6 hole. Russell Ellis scored eight of his 14 points in the second when Athena rallied to take a 27-26 lead into halftime. Ellis finished with five assists and five rebounds on the night. Colten Waterman had seven points and nine rebounds in the win. Cole Poth (7), Josiah Dueker (2), Shabazz Barnes (7) and Aris Post (1) also scored for Athena. Arcadia’s Drake Sapp scored 13 of his game-high 28 points in the first quarter to stake the Titans to an early lead. Brodee Henshaw and Ty Sherman combined for 44 points as Brockport pulled away from a three-point game at halftime. Leading 32-29 at halftime, Henshaw connected three times from the floor and Sherman hit a pair of triples in the third when Brockport used a 16-12 advantage to take a seven-point lead into the final eight minutes of action. Henshaw finished with a game-high 23 points. Sherman hit six 3-pointers as part of a 21-point effort. Zach Hagreen had 11 points and 10 assists while Ethan Hart had six points and nine rebounds for the Blue Devils. Mason Scott (7) and Tre Hildreth (2) also contributed to the scoring for Brockport. Isaac Varland had 10. Ty Gioia and Mazur both scored three. Trailing 54-49, Tomlinson connected on three 3-pointers over the final eight minutes of action. Kingston Downs had a game-high 22 points and dished out seven assists for the Knights. Max Skolen added 15 points and eight rebounds while Jay Garwood hauled in 10 rebounds and added five points. Tristan Dicks (7), Reid Thompson (4) and Jaeden Phillips (4) also scored for Northstar. Finney’s Braelen Broome hit seven 3-pointers and finished with 21 points to lead the Falcons. David Parra added 13 points and Judaea Danesi had 10. Twist scored 13 points in the second quarter when the Eagles grabbed a 36-24 lead heading into the break. Twist connected five times from the floor including twice from behind the 3-point arc. The senior guard finished the night with five triples part of an overall effort that saw Wayne hit 14 times from deep. Miles found the range eight times from behind the arc. Jack Miles scored 10 in the win. Alex Barres (4), MJ Marvin (8), Alex Lay (2) and Dylan Treasure (3) also scored for the Eagles who swept the regular season series in Finger Lakes East action. Braeden Cimineri led Mynderse with 18 points. Elijah Doell had 11. The sophomore guard/forward then poured in 12 points in the third. Marcus Tookes added eight while Nate Lathrop and Jesse Bennett added six apiece. Joah Bennett (5), Wyatt Smith (5), Colt Walker (2) and Mason Holley (2) also scored for Midlakes. Miles Ditzell led Penn Yan with 33 points including 13 in the first quarter when the Mustangs jumped out to a 21-12 lead. Spencer Jensen had 10. Newark led 24-14 at halftime. Palmyra-Macedon opened the second half with a 12-5 run to make it a three-point game. However, Newark responded with an 8-1 run to close the third quarter. A similar thing happened in the fourth quarter, with a late 7-2 run by the Red Raiders making it a three-point game, but the Reds once again held firm, going 11-for-12 from the free-throw line down the stretch to preserve their lead. Vogt connected four times from the floor and converted 4-of-4 free throws as the Blue Panthers jumped out to a 23-8 lead after eight minutes of play. Peter Jacob added 11 points in the win. Hepler connected three times from behind the 3-point arc in the opening eight minutes to help Geneseo build the 12-point advantage. The senior guard hit five from distance on the night. Oren Ray added 16 points in the win. Nick Connor had 12 points. Evan Sorge (3), Shay Hepler (6), Cam Caroccio (2), Eric Hammond (6) and Ian Sorge (2) also contributed to the Geneseo scoring. Grady Rogers led Bloomfield, which had won four of five games entering action, with 11 points. Macoy Rogers accounted for eight points. Cal-Mum’s Tyler Potter scored five of his 13 points in the first half to help the Raiders to a 25-22 lead heading into the locker room. Potter also grabbed six rebounds in the game. Liam McCumiskey, Carson Sanasith and Mac Nusbickel added eight points apiece in the win. Isaiah Sisson scored six. Robert Childs led Hinsdale with 18 points. Chris Forney added five.
