Kaiden Thwaits finished with a double-double and earned All-Tournament honors as Rush-Henrietta picked up the win in the consolation game of the Jim Kramer Classic hosted by Nichols Academy. Thawaits hit four 3-pointers as part of a 20-point effort. The ninth-grader also grabbed 11 rebounds. Aayush Bharati added 19 points in the win. Tyrese Rudolph (8), Daniel James, Jr. (7), Oliver Wright (7), Kylan Burke (4), Kingston Henry (8), Ayden Person (2) and Jakari Canaday (3) also scored for the Royal Comets.

James Willingham and Gavin White scored 14 and 12 points, respectively, but it wasn’t enough as UPrep fell to the hosts in the championship game of the Jim Kramer Classic. Willingham finished with four steals and two assists in the game. White had seven rebounds and three steals to earn All-Tournament honors. Ja’yvion Sampson accounted for seven points, five assists, four steals and four rebounds. Tre Paulfrey led Nichols with 18 points.

Peyton Joy and Adam Roe posted a double-double apiece, and Cuba-Rushford rolled in the championship of the Allegany County IAABO tournament. The win was the ninth by double-double of the season for the Rebels. Joy had 10 points and 14 rebounds in the win. Roe accounted for 16 points and 16 boards. Carter Brown led all scorers with 23 including seven in the second quarter when C-R grabbed a 37-22 lead heading into halftime. Brown connected on four 3-pointers in the win. Coleman Searle (10), Carter Getz (5), Malaki K (3) and Zach Deck also scored for Cuba-Rushford. Payton Bradley led Salamanca with 13 points.
“We defended very well as a group,” Cuba-Rushford head coach Patrick Wight said via email. “Salamanca is very well-coached and runs a lot of good sets. We were able to make them uncomfortable with our press and force some turnovers to get us easy buckets in the third quarter. Very proud of the guys and their effort all weekend.”
