Friday Girls’ Basketball Wrap: Angelo scores 32 to lead Honeoye Falls-Lima; Knittle registers triple-double for C. G. Finney

Erin Marone recorded 15 points, six rebounds and four assists to lead Churchville-Chili. Cadence Bachmann knocked down four three-pointers and ended with 14 points and six rebounds. Julia Gaffney finished with nine points and seven rebounds while Mercy Payne finished with eight points, four assists and four steals. Izzy Seaburg ended with seven points, eight rebounds and three blocks. Payton Krester led Gates Chili with 13 points while Evelyn Amesbury added nine.

Samara Rizzo led the way with 17 points to lead Fairport. Eva Monoski recorded 13 points and Avery Lucey finished with nine. Brinn Castrechini ended with six points. Bianca White paced Greece Athena/Odyssey with 14 points.

Shaye Angelo scored 32 points to pace Honeoye Falls-Lima in its home opener. Angelo also recorded six rebounds and six steals. Sarah Smith finished with a double-double of 10 points and 12 rebounds. Kam Burdette finished the game with three three pointers. Violet Lopez led Batavia with 23 points including seven three pointers.

Taylor Morse paced Irondequoit with a game-high 16 points alongside 10 rebounds and seven steals. London Thomas added 10 points and six steals in the second half. Lucy Whipple finished the game with seven points and six steals. Shannon Seymour pulled down 10 rebounds.

Lenna Mobeen scored 11 of her game-high 28 points in the third quarter as Pittsford Mendon established a 48-23 lead through 24 minutes. Mobeen connected on 10 shots including five 3-pointers as well as a 3-for-4 performance at the free throw line. Camryn Hernick added 11 points while Eva Dixon had seven. Lillian Larimer connected three times from the floor for six points. Kendall Glantz (4), Addy Stewart (4), Ella Pickels (2), Fiorella Roote (2) and Isabella Gallant (1) closed out the scoring for Pittsford Mendon. Lydia Childs scored nine of her 17 points in the final quarter for Brockport. Hannah Carpenter followed scoring 12 points. Gigi Harris nailed two threes for a total of six points. Stella Szabo (2), Janelle Laureano (1) and Alexis Hassall (1) rounded out the scoring for the Blue Devils.

Selah Spry paced Hilton with a team-high 14 points to pair with 17 rebounds as the Cadets picked up their first road win. Jayleigh Esposito scored 11 points which included three 3-pointers. Taylor Anne and Ava Heise both recorded seven points while Amiyah Miles and Amelia Sloan each recorded six points. Paige Dean (5) and Ally Starwald (3) rounded out the scoring for Hilton.

Leigha Pokracki scored a game-high 23 points while grabbing six rebounds, and Spencerport won for the second time in three games. Jorja Gray followed with 15 points and eight rebounds while Emily Peacock added nine points and three steals. Addison Lynch scored eight points. Alia Gatto finished the game with six points and five assists. Teghan Vergamini ended with two points to round out the scoring for Spencerport. Grace Papponette paced Brighton with nine points. Anna Miller scored seven points while Riley Lawrence scored six points. Delaney Wilson (4), Lily Zimmerman (3), Sara Solomon (2) and Charlotte Goldfeder (2) closed out the scoring for Brighton.

Lucy Broome scored 17 of her game-high 35 points in the first quarter to help C. G. Finney establish a 27-14 lead through eight minutes of play. Broome connected on 14 shots and finished 14-for-22 at the free throw line. Broome also added 12 rebounds, three assists and three blocks. Kiley Knittle added a triple-double with 18 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists. Kate Frederickson added 12 points connecting on six shots. Sydnei Davis (7), Amelia McIntyre (2) and Lainey Vargas (2) rounded out the scoring for Finney. Jasmyne Jones paced School of the Arts with a team-high 32 points including 13 shots from the field. Breyelle Geiger followed scoring 17 points. Gabrielle Norman closed out the scoring for the Silverhawks with 11 points.

Bailey Cooper led Penn Yan with 14 points. Sofia Montano added eight points while Makenna Mullins followed with six. Mady Pierce finished with five points. Maddie Breuer (4), Abby Fisher (4) and Morgan Breuer (2) rounded out the scoring for Penn Yan. Jah-Zell Strong led Young Women with 27 points while NiYhanah Marshall ended with seven. Diamondnik Foster (4) and Ari Appleberry-Givens (2) closed out the scoring for Young Women.

Mia DeMinck recorded her third straight double-double with 21 points and 14 rebounds as Wayne won its third straight home game. Sarah Cass scored 12 of her 15 points from beyond the three-point line.

Arizona Chapple recorded a 13-point double-double with 15 rebounds to lead Newark. Karina Natalie followed with nine points and four assists. Martianna Chance scored seven points while Sofia Delfs added four points, nine rebounds and four steals.

Korrin Yeoman and Riley Stinson paced Dundee/Bradford with 10 points. Yeoman also added 10 assists, four steals and three rebounds while Stinson accounted four steals and one assist. Carsen Larrison and Meredith Doan both followed scoring seven points while Reese Simpson and Marleigh Parker each added six points. Madalyn Knapp (3), Juul Dolphijn (2), and Danica Hall (2) rounded out the scoring for Dundee/Bradford. Maren Tompkins led Honeoye with five points while Chloe Brunk recorded four points.

Maddie Daggett scored 13 of her game-high 15 points in the first half to help Marcus Whitman establish a 35-11 lead. Daggett also added six steals, five rebounds and five assists in the win. Evy Royston followed adding 14 points and four steals while Sophie Snyder added 11 points and seven steals. Aliysiah Clark finished the game with nine points, three assists and three steals. Cecilia Conley ended with five points, eight rebounds and four steals. Autumn Vonderchek paced South Seneca with 12 points, eight rebounds and two blocks.

Aleah Binkowski and Sierra Haight paced Haverling with 20 points and 17 points respectively. Ally Prescott added 13 points and Taylor Havens added nine points. Abigail Whaley (3), Emma Lafler (3), Gabrielle Shoyer (2) and Langleigh Evans (1) closed out the scoring for Haverling. McKenna Rush paced Red Jacket with 14 points. Catie Mitchell finished with six points while Eva Mitchell finished with five. Molly Adams (3) and Avery Close (1) rounded out the scoring for Red Jacket.

Taylor Carnevale and Larissa Walters led the way for Clyde-Savannah with 15 points and 14 points respectively. Alexis Tohafjian followed with 13 points. Emily Nevlezer led North Rose-Wolcott with 12 points while Kyli Simonds added six. Laryssa Moore (5), Bailey Formanek (2), Cat Ohler (2) and Olivia DeBordere (2) rounded out the scoring for North Rose-Wolcott.

Leah Buffan scored 11 of her 18 points in the third quarter to help Gananda take a 38-21 into the final eight minutes of play. Buffan connected on six shots including three 3-pointers while going 3-for-6 at the charity stripe. Avery Hoffman recorded 16 points which included five field goals and a 6-for-7 performance at the free throw line. Sam Dohse nailed two threes for a total of six points. Jordyn Brice added four points while Lily Aylett scored three points. Jada Brown led Red Creek with 15 points. Taylor Bailey followed with eight points while Aylee Cooper added four. Mckenzie Allen (3) and Madison Leszczynski (1) rounded out the scoring for Red Creek.

Nellie Koronas recorded a double-double with 17 points and 11 rebounds as Perry won back-to-back games. Astrid Bellamy followed scoring 15 points and pulling down six rebounds.

Sasha Bellamy scored a game-high 18 points, and Letchworth won its second straight on the road. Annika Milillo followed with 11 points while pulling down seven rebounds. Gillian Kemp recorded seven points while Maya Bellamy recorded five. Kendall Jines (2), Charity Scott (2) and Lilly DeRock (2) closed out the scoring for Letchworth. Maria Geary led Avon with 16 points. Payton Rice (6), Avery Boor (5) and Abigail Hill (5) rounded out the scoring for Avon.

Samantha O’Connor and Colleen Metcalfe paced Dansville with 16 and 15 points respectively. O’Connor added six steals, four rebounds and four assists while Metcalfe added three rebounds one steal and one assist. Dansville held Wayland-Cohocton to zero points in the final eight minutes. Taylor Hamsher followed with 13 points, five steals, four assists and one rebound. Kassidy Cole added 11 points, eight rebounds and four steals. Morgan Ball (6) and Allison O’Connor (2) rounded out the scoring for Dansville. Emily Moran paced Wayland-Cohocton with a team-high eight points.

Jordyn Dyring led the way with a game-high 26 points, and Hornell won its home opener. Teegan Eveland followed adding 14 points while Selena Maldonado recorded 10. Mia Nasca scored eight points. Raegan Evingham (7), Allisa Haley (3), A’Jonay Hawkins (2) and Alivia Ryder (2) rounded out the scoring for Hornell.

Olivia Amorese scored a career-high 26 points alongside three rebounds to lead Caledonia-Mumford. Leigh Nickerson followed adding 11 points, eight rebounds and five blocks.

Bree Parsons and Tessa Rodwell both finished the game with 19 points to lead York to a second straight home win. Parsons also recorded eight steals, five rebounds, four assists and found blocks while Rodwell added six rebounds, one steal and one block. Fiona Grant ended with 13 points, five rebounds and two steals. Gianna McClain scored nine points while adding three assists and three rebounds. Charlotte Rudgers led Pavilion with eight points. Mollie McMaster and Bree Palmer both added five points apiece.

Allison Harkness led Oakfield-Alabama with a 15-point and 10 rebound double-double as the Hornets won for the second time at home. Harkness also finished with three assists. Alexa Clark and Raine Denny each finished with double digits, scoring 11 points and 10 points respectively. Clark also added seven rebounds while Denny added five steals. Allie Williams finished the game with seven points, nine rebounds and four steals. Rylee Denny (2), Chloe Luttrell (2) and Journey Ohlson (1) closed out the scoring for Oakfield-Alabama.

Laura Hall scored 20 points to lead Jasper-Troupsburg to a second straight win. The Lady Wildcats started the game on a 24-0 run. Leah Lawson followed with 18 points while Avary Cornell recorded 16 points. Keira Marsh ended with 12 points. Amber Stephens (4), Alaina Trenchard (4) and Annabelle VanNorman (4) rounded out the scoring for Jasper-Troupsburg.

Kara Mahany scored 10 of her team-high 12 points in the first half as Canisteo-Greenwood established a 28-10 lead. Mahany connected on four shots including one 3-pointer as well as a three-for-four performance at the free throw line. Gracen Mahany followed scoring all eight of her points in the third quarter. Anna Mitchell and Bailey Mullen added seven points. Harlie McCaffery finished with six points. Mackenna Mullen (4), Payton Bentley (4), Paris May (4) and Addy Andrus (2) rounded out the scoring for Canisteo-Greenwood. Caidyn Jones led Addison with six points and Khloe Snow followed with five points. Katherine Conklin added a three pointer while Kailee Mycko knocked down two free throws to close out the scoring for Addison.
