ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Jeffery Logan III rushed for 264 yards and four touchdowns on 33 carries as Aquinas Institute (2-2) celebrated Homecoming with a 42-21 win over Penfield (1-3) on Saturday.
Logan scored from 47 yards out on the first drive of the game to give Aquinas a lead it did not surrender.
“We’ve been working all week with the line and knowing our assignments,” the senior running back said. “We came out here and were prepared.”

His second touchdown of the day capped a 70-yard drive in which the Li’l Irish stayed on the ground for nine of 10 plays.
Logan credited his teammates for clearing holes in front of him.
“It’s amazing. I can’t do anything without my line. They were great. We’re going to keep it moving and keep building.”
After Penfield opened the third quarter with a touchdown, Aquinas responded on its next drive when Logan scored from 35 yards out.
“It’s always important to come out in the second half and just keep it going,” Logan said. “Just because we had a good first half doesn’t mean we’re going to come out second half and do the same thing. We got the job done.”
AQ quarterback Robert Carter completed 7-of-7 passes for 98 yards and two touchdowns including a third-down strike to an outstretched Amere Brewer in the end zone for a 14-0 lead.

Brewer made four receptions in the win for 48 yards and two touchdowns.
Frankie Burgess led the AQ defense with 11 tackles, two sacks and one blocked kick. C.J. Flaherty accounted for five tackles.
Zane Kropman scored the first Penfield touchdown on a fourth-down plunge from a half-yard out. The Patriots set up the score when quarterback Dom Giunta and Brodie Joyce connected on a 44-yard slant.
Giunta threw another touchdown to Ronan Boyle. Nate Griffin also scored for the Patriots. Penfield played without starting center Mason Schembri.
Penfield hosts UPrep next Saturday. A 12:30 kickoff is scheduled.
Aquinas will travel to McQuaid on Friday for a 6:00 p.m. start.
