Brinza leads Greece Post 468

Nate Brinza finished 2-for-3 which included a grand slam in the first inning to take a 4-0 lead as Greece Post 468 (23-5) won its third game of the 2025 American Legion Northeast Regional tournament in a 11-1 five-inning win over St. Johnsbury Post 58 (Vermont).

Brinza also added a double in the fourth, finished with a team-high five RBI and added two runs scored.

Derrick Allen and Quentin Grimes both pitched with Allen going 3.1 innings allowing one hit and one run with three strikeouts and Grimes earning the win, hurling 1.2 innings scoreless innings with two strikeouts.

Allen and Tyler Cannon each recorded a home run apiece. Allen nailed a two-run shot to start off a four-run second inning while Cannon hit a solo shot in the fourth. Allen also added two runs scored while Cannon recorded a double.

Jack Kelly added a two-run double with two outs in the fourth inning. Cam Barbulean singled twice and finished with two runs scored. Wes Sturrup added an RBI single.

Mason Davey finished with three runs scored while Golden Forney added a stolen base and one run scored.

Greece Post will advance to face Waterford Post 161 (Connecticut) on Saturday.
