ROCHESTER (GIRLS) 76, BUFFALO 40
Lucy Bush scored seven of her 13 points in the first half when Rochester opened a 37-19 lead. Bush connected three times from the floor including once behind the 3-point arc – part of an overall effort that saw the Rochester squad hit five times from distance in the opening half and 11 for the game. Bush added five steals and four assists in the win. Loren Green topped the local side with 14 points along with three assists and two steals. Lydia Childs and Ajaya Orr added eight apiece. Orr had three assists and two steals. Eva Dixon (2), Braelyn Isaman (3), Jordyn Dyring (6), Tessa Rodwell (3), Emerson Wandtke (6), Cadence Brecker (2), Kylie Clement (6) and Semaj Jackson (5) also scored for Rochester. Ava Gunnells led Buffalo with 14 points.
ROCHESTER (GIRLS) 63, LONG ISLAND 47
Ajaya Orr scored 10 of her game-high 18 points in the first half as Rochester grabbed a 30-21 lead and went on to finish pool play undefeated. Orr connected five times from the floor in the opening half and added four more field goals coming out of the break. She also added three rebounds and two blocks. Braelyn Isaman accounted for 11 points, three rebounds and two steals in the win while Loren Green had 10 points. Eva Dixon (5), Lucy Bush (5), Tessa Rodwell (3), Emerson Wandtke (4), Cadence Brecker (3) and Semaj Jackson (1) also scored. Rochester will play Mid-Hudson in the semifinals, Sunday morning at 10 a.m. The championship game will follow at 1 p.m. The Rochester girls have won the past two BCANY titles.
ROCHESTER (BOYS) 86, SUFFOLK 70
Carson Chaffee led five in double figures with 16 points, and Rochester secured the top seed in pool play. Chaffee hit four times from the floor including one 3-pointer. Chase Leonardo connected three times from distance and added 15 points in the win. Christian Zarzycki scored 13 on the back three triples while Jake McCarthy had 12 points and Cam Blankenberg accounted for 11. Aidan Twist (2), Trevor Nally (5), Landon Washburn (6) and Jackson Green (6) also for Rochester. Rochester will play Buffalo in the semifinals on Sunday. An 8:30 a.m. tip-off is scheduled with the championship to follow at 1 p.m..
