In the completion of a suspended game, John Pierson and Josh Pearson combined a one-hitter as Rayson Miller advanced to the District 7 quarterfinals. Pierson started, struck out one and pitched to two batters over the minimum in three shutout innings of work. The right-hander surrendered a single to leadoff the game then set down nine of the last 10 he faced. Pearson fanned two and walked two without giving up a hit to register the win in four shutout innings of work. Max Vorrasi provided all the offense needed with a two-out double in the third that brought home Grady Hopkin. Hopkin reached on a one-out double and advanced to third on a Jack Edelstein ground out before scoring his team-leading 14th run of the season. Edelstein and Ryan Munzinger had a hit apiece in the win. Mikey Crandall connected on the lone base knock for Irondequoit Post. Evan Bishop allowed one run on four hits and four walks over six innings of work. Bishop fanned four.

Jamie Derleth connected on a one-out single and eventually scored the winning run as Chili Post erased a deficit in its final at-bat to clinch a spot in the District 7 semifinals. Trailing 6-5, Parker Farnham led the bottom of the seventh with his second single of the night. One out later, Derleth put runners on the corners with a base hit, and Farnham scored on a failed pickoff attempt at third. Derleth came home with the walk-off winner when Quintyn Whipple reached on an error. Bobby Rule Jr. hurled a scoreless inning and a third in relief to pick up the win. Will Sheible started and did not allow a hit over four shutout innings. Chili Post will face top-seeded Greece Post in the semifinals. The best two-of-three series begins Tuesday night Greece Athena. A 5:30 p.m. first pitch is scheduled. Alex Spezzano doubled, walked twice, drove in a run and scored once in the win. Aaron Reina drew a pair of free passes and crossed home once. Lucas Karelus singled, drove in two runs and also scored once. Derleth also had an RBI. Max Vorassi was 1-3 with a walk and collected one of his two RBI in the fifth when Rayson Miller scored four times to take a 4-1 lead. Jack Edelstein was 1-2 with two walks, two RBI and a run scored. Owen Osborne and Paul Byrne both singled and scored. Thomas O’Reilly drew a walk and scored twice.

Oliver Wright drove in the game-winning with a two-out double in the top of the ninth, and Ely Fagan Post clinched a spot in the District 7 semifinals. Wright scored Mason Phillips from second as Ely Fagan won for the fourth time in five games. Derek VanAuker hurled a scoreless bottom half of the inning to pick up the win. Caden Richards started and struck out three over eight innings of two-hit ball. Richards retired 15 of the first 16 batters he faced and did not allow a hit until a leadoff single in the sixth inning. Ely Fagan will face No. 2 Cottreall Warner in a best two-of-three series that begins Tuesday at Webster Thomas High School. Gio Stewart led the Fagan ninth with a double. Phillips reached on a hit by pitch. After Stewart was erased at third on a fielder’s choice, Wright connected on his only hit of the game. Richards finished 2-for-4 at the plate. Joel Thomas added a single in the win. James Cooke Post’s Alex Long went 2-3. Chris Pearles added a single. Jack Guiffre started and scattered three hits over five shutout innings. Guiffre struck out four.
