Webster Thomas fell to Horseheads in the New York State semifinal round despite getting two men on in both the sixth and seventh innings. Titans right-fielder Trevor LeRoy also threatened with a strong drive to right with a man on in the fourth, but a backhanded diving catch by Horseheads right-fielder Cooper Ball eliminated the opportunity. AJ LaLoggia led Webster with two hits, including a double. Tyler Estelle, Owen Zimmer, Drew Rosa, and Nathan Carraci also hit safely. Jake DiCicco started the game and went six innings before Connor Smith threw a perfect seventh.

PITTSFORD MENDON (19-6) 7
The Pittsford Mendon Vikings claimed a spot in a program-first state championship appearance behind Cameron Barbulean, who earned the win on the mound with 5.2 innings as well as a hit and an RBI at the plate. Ethan Postle finished off the game, coming in with the bases loaded with two outs in the sixth before escaping with a fly out and then pitching a scoreless seventh. Noah Sansone drove in two runs for the Vikings, while Colden Forney tripled and brought in a run as part of a two-hit game. Samuel Harrigan, James Termine, and Josiah Martin also brought in runs. Jack Albanese hit safely twice, as did Aidan Lerner-Morelle. Reece Totedo rounded out the hit column with a single. Pittsford Mendon faces Section IV champion Maine-Endwell on Saturday for the state title.

ORISKANY JUNIOR/SENIOR (III) 5
FILLMORE (15-8) 2
An RBI single from James Hillman and a seventh-inning RBI by Kalen Beardsley wasn’t enough for Fillmore, which fell to Oriskany in the state semifinals. Connor McCumiskey and Jared Boon both singled, while Jack Boon drew two walks and scored a run. Damon Potter struck out four in a complete game.
