Hannah Kenney connected on a two-out, two-run hit in the sixth inning as Brockport pulled away to win a back-and-forth affair. Leading 6-5, Kenney plated Olivia Zimmerman and Brianna DeLorenzo. Kenney, who finished with two walks and three runs scored, then crossed home on a Hannah Carpenter single. Carpenter struck out eight in a complete-game effort in the circle including throwing four scoreless innings to end the game. Carpenter went 2-for-4 at the plate and started the scoring when she brought home Kenney with a single in a four-run first inning. Gates Chili responded with three in the home half and took the lead in the third when Mattingly Kretser doubled in a run, and Abbie Graupman’s run-scoring single gave the Spartans a 5-4 lead. Graupman was 2-4 with a double and three RBI. Kretser went 2-4 with two RBI. Kenzie Brown singled and scored twice for Gates. Lou McGill had a base hit and a run scored. Deanna Georgetti was 2-4 and crossed home once. Brockport’s DeLorenzo had two hits and an RBI. Lilly Petitti and Audrina Piatt had a hit and a run scored apiece.

Libby Barbay struck out nine over a complete-game effort and went 2-for-3 at the plate as South Seneca/Romulus avenged a previous loss with its fourth straight win. Barbay drove in a run and scored in the first when South Seneca/Romulus pushed four across the plate and eventually took a 7-1 lead into the fifth. She walked one and allowed four earned runs in the circle. Chloe Scott finished 2-3 including a solo home run to lead the fifth in what ended up being the game-winning run. Ella Wellin was 2-4 in the win. Ally Fenton led Mynderse at the plate going 3-3 with a double, two RBI, a stolen base and a run scored. Danielle McDermott went 2-4 with an RBI, stolen base and two runs scored. Hannah O’Brien singled twice and scored once. Haley Young fanned five without issuing a walk over six innings of work. Four of the eight runs allowed were unearned. Mynderse took a 25-7 decision when the Finger Lakes East foes met on April 1st.

Hannah Southwick-Powers struck out 13 over seven innings of four-hit ball as Genesee Valley-Belfast avenged a previous loss with its fifth win in the past six games. The senior pitcher retired the last 13 batters she faced and did not allow an earned run. Madison Yackeren finished 2-for-3 and scored two runs to lead the offense. Morgan Yackeren walked and scored. Addison Bradt had an RBI. Jenna Hill also had a single. Alydia McIntyre was 1-3 with a run scored for A-P. The Titans took a 5-2 decision when the two teams met on April 4th.
