Constantino Financial Saturday Baseball Wrap: Kendall runs win streak to double digits; Watterson caps late Oakfield-Alabama rally

PITTSFORD MENDON (14-6) 10

Ethan Postle struck out six over six shutout innings of two-hit ball and Pittsford Mendon won its third straight game and eighth in the past nine. Mendon sent nine to the plate in a five-run fifth when the Vikings pulled away from a 4-0 lead. Colden Forney finished 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI. Jackson Forney, was 2-4 and drove in a run. Sam Harrigan, went 2-2 with a walk, an RBI and two runs scored. Noah Sansone singled, walked and drove in two runs. James Termine was 1-2 with a walk and two RBI. Nate Brinza connected on a solo home run to account for the Canandaigua offense.

BISHOP KEARNEY/CHESTERTON/ARCHANGEL (5-9) 3
EASTRIDGE (10-9) 8

Eamon Smith struck out five over three shutout innings in relief to pick up the win. James Dietz highlighted a four-run sixth with an RBI double as Eastridge pulled away from a one-run game. Evan Bishop doubled, walked twice and scored twice in the win. Xzavier Hughey was 1-for-3 with a walk, an RBI and three runs scored. Declan Caron doubled as part of a a 2-3 effort with a walk and two RBI. Ryder Froman went 2-3 with two RBI and a run scored. Aaden Bishop singled, drove in a run and scored. Nolan O’Neill also had a base hit.

BROCKPORT (11-8) 5
UNATEGO (IV) 8

Andrew Lennartz finished 2-for-2 with a double, two RBI and two runs scored to lead Brockport. Brayden Scaccia doubled and was 2-3 with three RBI. Talan Ilardo singled and scored twice. Hunter Moore singled and scored once.

Stone Pagano struck out four in an eight-inning performance to lead Northstar. Pagano allowed one run on three hits and a walk to pick up the win. Da’Vonn Stevns and Matt Allen scored in the eighth when Jay Garwood reached on an error. Tysen Deaton drove in a run with a hit earlier in the game. Carl Dwyer, Gio Palma and Jerry Schwaderer each had a hit for the Knights. Chase Antinore walked and scored for Notre Dame-Batavia. Charles Cummings, Owen Bentley and Drew Beachel each had a hit for ND-B.

PALMYRA-MACEDON (12-4) 6
MYNDERSE (7-7) 1

Trey Porpora struck out nine over five innings and went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Palmyra-Macedon to it s third straight win. Porpora started and allowed one run on three hits and two walks to pick up the win. The junior also walked and scored the Red Raiders first run of the game, and he drove in a pair of runs with a single in the fourth to make it a 5-0 game. Jordan Goff was 1-3 with two RBI and a run scored. Brayden Leo doubled, walked and scored. Noah Dapolito was 1-3 with a walk, an RBI and a run scored. Gavin Everts walked and scored. Andrew West struck out five over two scoreless innings of relief. Mynderse senior Cullen Herron finished 2-2 with a run scored. Matthew Bogart had an RBI. Byron Catalano singled.

Senior Austin Cordaro picked up the win on the mound scattering 5 hits over 4 innings of work striking out four. Luke Lathan closed out the game striking out three of the four batters he faced. Adam Woodworth connected on a pair of triples to lead the offense. Alex Spezzano singled and tripled in the win. Cordaro and Jake Higgins added a pair of hits apiece. Jude Christ had two hits including a double. Dylan Caraballo had two hits for Waterloo. Ryder Tan had a double.

EAST ROCHESTER (14-3) 1 (F/6)

Liam DeHollander struck out 11 over six innings of two-hit ball, and East Rochester won its fourth straight game and 12th in the past 13. DeHollander also drove in the game’s only run with a single in the second that scored teammate Noah Wollschleger. Andrew Newman also had hit for ER. Williamson’s David DeFisher took the tough-luck loss allowing one run on three hits and four walks. DeFisher struck out seven.

Landen Stoddard was 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI to lead Pavilion/York. Trent Englert went 2-3 with a home run and two RBI. Johnny Ayers homered while Liam Ezard and Evan Kingdon connected on a triple apiece. Pavilion/York scored 13 in the second with Englert and Ayers recording their first varsity home runs. All starters recorded a hit except Zack Bauer who worked three walks. Keshequa’s Aiden Upright went 2-2 with a double, a sacrifice fly and two RBI. Nathan Hillier doubled and had three RBI.

Vinnie D’Agostino and Gio Rodriguez stole two bases and scored three runs apiece as Kendall won its 10th straight game. D’Agostino drove in a run with a single and later scored in the first to give the Eagles a lead they did not surrender at 2-1. Rodriguez walked and crossed home in the second when Kendall ran its lead to 5-1. The Eagles tacked on six runs in the third and five more in the fourth. D’Agostino finished with two RBI. CJ D’Agostino and Colby Hughes both went 2-for-3 with a double and three RBI. CJ D’Agostino walked once and scored twice. Johnny Conte singled, drove in a run and scored twice out of the leadoff spot. Mike Colucci was 1-3 with three RBI and two runs scored. Sam Conte singled, walked, drove in a run and scored. Gavin Braun singled, walked and scored twice. Braun started and struck out five over four innings of work to pick up the win. Alexander’s Leo Egloff was 2-3 with a pair of doubles and a run scored. Preston Dinkins and Colton Smith both walked and scored for the Trojans.

PERRY (8-9) 6
OAKFIELD-ALABAMA (7-8) 7

Avery Watterson finished 3-for-4 including a two-run double in the sixth as Oakfield-Alabama rallied for the win. Trailing 6-5, Ryan Schnaufer and Jack Cianfrini reached on back-to-back two-out singles. Watterson, who also stole two bases, followed with his two-bagger for the tying and go-ahead runs. Hunter Tobolski struck out the side in the seventh and hurled two scoreless innings in relief to pick up the win. Cianfrini was 2-4 with two runs scored in the win. Schnaufer finished 2-3 with a double, an RBI and two runs scored out of the nine-hole. Jackson Gilbert homered and scored twice in the win. Levi Kabel accounted for a single. Perry’s Maximus Siewert was 3-4 with a double, stolen base, two RBI and two runs scored. Tyler Harvey went 2-3 with a walk and an RBI. Patrick Feroleto added a single. Zachery Baker and Izaiah Hernandez scored a run apiece.

Drew Glover struck out 10 over six innings of two-hit ball, and Arkport-Canaseraga won its third straight by shutout and fifth overall. Glover retired 10 of the last 11 batters he faced. Tayven Lavetsky paced the offense going 2-for-4 with a pair of doubles and three RBI. Lavetsky brought in a run in the first when the Wolves scored eight times. Micah Marvin singled, drove in a run and also scored. Bryer Drake was 2-2 with an RBI and a run scored. Eli Merry and Conor Smith both singled and scored.

CAMPBELL-SAVONA (6-7) 7
FILLMORE (8-7) 6

Liam Maddock drove in a pair with a single to highlight a five-run second inning when Campbell-Savona grabbed a 7-2 lead. Lucas Corey doubled and scored in the first and later drove in a run. Rece Jamison singled, drove in a run and scored. Ethan Loveless was 1-3 with two RBI. Elias Shamsiddeen and Carter Taft both walked and scored in the win. Fillmore’s Jack Boon doubled and scored. James Hillman and Avery Potter both collected a single, an RBI and a run scored. Liam McCumiskey was 2-3 with a run scored. Brayden Hennard doubled.
