Saturday Flag Football Wrap: Turner and Arcadia clinch top spot in Class B; LaBounty leads ER

PENFIELD (7-2) 19
GREECE ARCADIA (10-0) 38

Aimee Turner completed 20-of-33 passes for 357 yards and five touchdowns while rushing for 56 yards and a touchdown on eight carries as Arcadia clinched the top spot in Class B. Kaitlyn Spring made six catches for 177 yards and a touchdown. Samantha Mau finished with three receptions for 96 yards and two touchdowns. Kylie Drake and Maddy McNally also had a touchdown catch apiece. McNally and Abrianna Cerqua both intercepted a pass. Natasha Bell led the Titans with eight flag pulls. Penfield’s Sophia Puccia rushed for 243 yards on 22 carries and completed 14-of-26 passes for 177 yards and two touchdowns. Emma Garigen caught four passes for 77 yards and a touchdown. Molly Brown finished with 68 yards from scrimmage one touchdonw. Meghan Quigley had three catches for 35 yards and a touchdown.

HILTON (4-7) 18
GREECE ATHENA (9-2) 26

Kate Rayburn returned an interception 14 yards for a touchdown and caught a seven-yard pass for another score to give Athena a lead it did not surrender. Rayburn had four catches for 40 yards and four flag pulls as Athena rebounded from a loss with its fifth win in six games. Anna Forman completed 19-of-26 passes for 199 yards and two touchdowns in the win. Emily McMichael caught two passes for 80 yards and a touchdown. Emilee Montagliano finished with seven catches for 47 yards, along with two interceptions and three flag pulls. Montana Harris led Athena with six flag pulls. Forman had five flag pulls. Kalee Kaufman rushed for 36 yards on five carries. Matteson Cacia made three catches for 14 yards. Hilton’s Tea Cosman threw for a pair of touchdowns. Naliah Ramos caught a 33-yard pass for one score while Alayina DiNapoli had a 25-yard touchdown reception. Paige Dean scored on an 11-yard run.

EAST ROCHESTER (7-5-1) 13
WAYNE (6-6-0) 6

Junior Alex LaBounty threw for two touchdowns and had 10 flag pulls on defense as East Rochester won for the seventh time in the past nine games. Lily Chambers-Silva finished with a touchdown catch and catch for an extra-point conversion. Sloan Sowinksi also had a receiving touchdown and four flag pulls. Mia Rountree finished the game with four flag pulls and and interception at the end of the game to secure the win for the Bombers.
