Constantino Financial Saturday Baseball Wrap: McQuaid falls after late rally

McQuaid dropped its second straight game after host Poly Prep used five-run sixth-inning rally. After a scoreless first four innings, the Knights took a 1-0 lead in the top of the fifth with an RBI single from Zach Craib. Craib’s hit scored Jason Larsen, who had singled earlier in the inning, one of his two hits along with two stolen bases on the day. Craib and Larsen totaled the three hits for McQuaid as starter Cole Englert gave the Knights five shutout innings with six strikeouts. Thomas Bailey and Paul Rizzo drew walks for the Knights, with Rizzo adding a stolen base.
