Friday Flag Football Wrap: O’Neill paces Eastridge to third straight win; Roxstrom’s big night leads Odyssey/Olympia

GREECE ODYSSEY/OLYMPIA (3-1) 27

Senior Hannah Roxstrom had two pick 6’s and a touchdown reception along with eight flag pulls as Odyssey/Olympia rebounded from its only loss of the season. Senior Jussara Hunter finished with a touchdown pass. Senior Victoria Koumako added a rushing touchdown, and sophomore Alex Seitz added an interception in the win.

NEWARK (0-2) 6
EAST ROCHESTER (2-4) 30

Junior quarterback Mia Rountree completed 9-of-14 including three four touchdowns as East Rochester put together back-to-back wins. Alex LaBounty completed the only pass she threw for another score. Ninth-grader Sloan Sowinski finished with two receiving touchdowns and one interception on the defensive side of the ball. Ninth-grader Amiria Burroughs had two receiving touchdowns and two interceptions. Samari Robinson had an interception. Lily Chambers-Silva accounted for six flag pulls and a rushing touchdown. Newark’s Adrianna Smith rushed for a touchdown.

PADILLA HS AT FRANKLIN CAMPUS (0-4) 7
EASTRIDGE (3-1) 25

Sadie O’Neill completed 11-of-17 passes for 174 yards and three touchdowns to lead Eastridge to its third straight win. The junior also rushed for 40 yards on five carries and had two flag pulls. Madyson Fizer finished with three catches for 80 yards and a touchdown. The senior also had an interception and two flag pulls. Alyssa Cowart had six catches for 69 Yards and a touchdown to go with three flag pulls on defense. Kaitlyn Muniz found paydirt from two yards out. Qa’Mariona Greene had a 20-yard touchdown reception. Nicole Vicente made four flag pulls. Avianna Groell had two flag pulls.
