Full slate of games scheduled this week for Section V Softball. Here are previews for the teams of Monroe County Division I: Fairport, Greece, Penfield, Rush-Henrietta and Webster Schroeder.
FAIRPORT RED RAIDERS
Last season: Finished 14-10, won Section V Class AA champion, NYS Far West Regional champ, lost to Corning Painted-Post (IV) in NYS Class AA final.
Coach: Curt Johnson
Top Returners: Waverly Milliman LF; AnnaBella Clark P; Julia Poligone C; Olivia Caselli RF; Anna Colaluca 2B.
Top Newcomers: Lizzie Roessel 1B; Quinnleigh Yeakel SS; Alaina Nunez 3B; Julia Barry CF.

GREECE STORM
Last season: Lost to eventual NYS finalist Fairport in the Section V Class AAA championship.
Coach: Allen Kubitz

PENFIELD PATRIOTS
Last season: 9-12, lost to Penfield in first round of Class AA.
Coach: Steve Newman (first season – spent 16 years in the Penfield baseball program).
Top returners: Ella Maley Jr. CF (.349 AVG, .440 OBP, 12 RBI, 12 SB, 19 R, 3 2B, 1 HR, 2024 Second-Team All-County); Zoe VonDerLinn Jr. C (.310 AVG, 22 H, 16 R); Meg Clark Sr. SS (four-year varsity player, 15 RBI, 25 defensive assists, .942 fielding percentage); Addison Young Sr. 3B (four-year varsity player, .378 AVG and .478 OBP, 12 RBI, 5 SB, Second-Team All-County); Zara Vattimo Jr. P (76.1 IP, 5-3 record, 3.56 ERA and 62K).

Last season: Finished 11-10, lost to eventual NYS finalist Fairport in the Class AAA semifinals.
Coach: Lynn Rotola (217-271 .444/25th season)

WEBSTER SCHROEDER WARRIORS
