Semaj Jackson led East High Girls’ Basketball to 16 wins and the top seed in Class A. Jackson paced an Eagles’ squad that scored better than 67 points per game during the regular season and held opponents to 40 points per outing.
Rochester City Athletic Conference Girls’ Basketball coaches named the sophomore forward the 2024-25 RCAC Player of the Year.
Jackson averaged 15.2 points and 10.0 rebounds per game. She finished with 14 double-doubles on the season.
Her 20-point, 11-rebound effort in a 57-54 win at Brockport helped East to a third straight win and six of seven to close the season. She also blocked two shots in the game.
Teammate Gabby Brown-Sturdviant joined Jackson on First Team All-League along with NaKayla Costello and Kaysia Jones of Edison/SWW as well as Breyelle Geiger (School of the Arts) and Kenya Scott (Monroe/SWW).
