Section V Boys’ Soccer handed out seven sectional titles this season. Along with those team honors, go individual recognition for the 2024 All-Tournament teams as selected by coaches.
Ryan Mathis finished with three postseason goals and an assist to help lead Fairport to its second straight Class AAA title. The senior forward led a quartet of Red Raiders who were named to the All-Tournament team. Zachary Buys and Brock Stephany accounted for an assist apiece in the postseason. Stephany set up the game winner in the second overtime of the championship to help Fairport clinch the title. Alexander Grejda joined his Fairport teammates on the all-tourney team.
McQuaid’s Sammy Maaraba found the back of the net twice in the AAA final. The senior forward’s goal with less than 15 minutes remaining in regulation gave the Jesuit Knights a 2-1 lead. Maraaba was one of three from McQuaid to be recognized. Fellow Jesuit Knights Kevin Miller and Sam Leone also were named to the All-Tournament team. Ian Allen and Ryan Mutuwawira from Rush-Henrietta along with Pah Gay and Seth Baker from World of Inquiry/Edison/Padilla/SOTA also earned selections.
Cameron Khuns and Zach Tortora fortified a Spencerport defense that allowed one goal over four postseason games on the way to a second sectional title in three years. Juan Green Jordan and Danny Weiss joined their Spencerport teammates on the Class AA All-Tournament team. Weiss had a goal in Spencerport’s 2-nil win over Brighton in the championship game. The sophomore forward also contributed a goal and an assist in the Rangers’ 2-1 win over Webster Thomas in the quarterfinals.
Brighton goalkeeper Sam Robertson stopped a penalty kick with less than five minutes remaining in regulation, and the Bruins went on to clinch a spot in the finals with a 2-1 win over Aquinas. Alessandro Bosa followed from there with the game winner to lift Brighton. Robertson, Bosa and Peter Odhiambo each were named to Class AA team. Tin Tin Pasia and Ryan Lewin from Aquinas earned honors along with Isaac Bailey and Noah Berg from Churchville-Chili. Ryder Lucas (Penfield), Sam Tripp (Victor) and Sam Burton (Webster Schroeder) rounded out the Class AA All-Tournament team.
Cash Rosado netted a hat trick in the Class A championship game as Brockport secured its first title since 2017 with a 4-3 win over Pittsford Mendon. Rosado was one of four Brockport Blue Devils on the Class A team along with Aiden Fitzpatrick, Will Hawken and Ty Sherman.

Max Foltz, Colden Forney and Jackson Forney represented Pittsford Mendon on the Class A team along with Chris Gargan and Lucas Martin from Pittsford Sutherland as well as Newark’s Cameron Baker and Kaiden Carr. Blade Surowiec (Wayne), Brandon Pritchard (Honeoye Falls-Lima), Obe Kagde (Greece Olympia) and Finn Halpin (Batavia) also were named to the Class A All-Tournament team.
Wyatt Evingham scored the lone goal as Hornell claimed back-to-back Class B titles with a 1-nil win over Avon. PJ Picco assisted on the championship clincher. Evingham and Picco highlighted the Class B tournament team along with teammates Cody Cardamone and Gabriel Rasephei. Rasephei accounted for all of the offense needed in the Red Raiders 1- nil win over Wellsville in the B semis. The title was the third in four years for a Hornell program which had not won a boys’ soccer sectional title from 2007 to 2020.
Josh Harter, Brody McDowell and Trevor Stroud led an Avon side that knocked off a pair of higher-seeded opponents, including a previously unbeaten Livonia squad, to clinch a spot in the B final. The three seniors were named All-Tournament selections. Grant Francis and Max McEnerney from Livonia earned Class B All-Tournament honors along with Mark Sick (Dansville), Carter Gorski (Attica/Alexander), Jacob Wiley (Le Roy) and Austin Durand (Haverling).
Perry Francis scored two goals and Liam Kinney added another as East Rochester rallied to take the Class C1 title. Francis and Kinney headed four Bombers that included Sean Hogan and Elijah Tanner on the Class C1 All-Tournament team.
Byron-Bergen/Elba’s CJ DiQuattro, Jack Farner and Colin Rea also were named to the C1 All-Tournament team along with Timmy Niles and Rhett Storms from Williamson, Eric Hammond and Cooper Warner from Geneseo, Chris Mosier (Holley) and Finn Ricketts (Cuba-Rushford/Hinsdale).
Kendall’s Pablo Rosario-Reyes netted seven goals over three matches to lead the Eagles to their first sectional title since 1998. Teammates Johnny Conte, Colby Hughes and William Kludt joined Rosario-Reyes on the Class C2 All-Tournament team.
Genesee Valley-Belfast’s Ethan Davenport, Salvatore Gambino and Evan Turybury also earned post-season honors along with Chris Clancy and Ian Pavlina from Dundee/Bradford as well as Cody Mansfield and Jack Van Skiver from Campbell-Savona as well as Holden Kelly of Perry.
Naples won its second sectional title in five years with a postseason run that included four wins by combined totals of 21-2. Big Green teammates Oscar Austin, Jake Betrus, Matt Lincoln and Evan Rischpater topped the Class D All-Tournament team.
Bryer Drake, Robert Hakes and Nolan Morey from Arkport-Canaseraga were also named to the Class D team. Isaiah Sisson and Brayden Walton from Fillmore along with Max Klemmer and Noah Sluk from Northstar Christian earned Class D honors as well as Ian Hinrich (Keshequa), Carter Burton (Avoca-Prattsburgh) and Jesus Rosario-Reyes (Lyndonville).
