Monday American Legion Wrap: Cannon and Julian lead Irondequoit Post; Greece Post grabs early lead, beats Meyers-Ingraham

GREECE POST 468 (2-1) 6 GAME 1
Steven Kraus and Weston Elkovitch connected on back-to-back RBI singles in the first inning as Greece Post grabbed an early lead that it did not surrender. Brody Froman led the frame with a base hit, and Braedon Reina followed with a walk to set up Kraus for the first run of the game. Froman finished 3-for-3 with a walk, two runs scored and an RBI in the win. Kraus went 2-for-4 with two RBI. Kaleb Juliano sparked a three-run sixth with a double. Joe Sanna was 1-for-2 with a run scored. Derrick Allen struck out five and allowed one run on six hits and a walk over five innings of work on the mound to pick up the win. Trevor Muck fanned one in relief. AJ LaLoggia singled and scored the lone Meyers-Ingraham run in the third inning on a Nolan Gamble RBI groundout. Tré Walker was 2-for-2 with a base on balls and a stolen base. Owen Zimmer and Matthew Riddell had a single apiece.

IRONDEQUOIT POST 134 (3-1) 5
Aiden Julian finished 2-for-2 including a two-run single in the first inning to help stake Irondequoit Post to an early 3-0 lead. Zach Haight reached on a hit by pitch to start the inning, and Orlando Figueroa followed with a single. After Tyler Cannon walked to load the bases, Julian delivered to start the scoring. Ian Fleck added a run with an RBI groundout. Julian doubled and drove in Cannon in the fifth for the final margin of victory. Cannon went 2-for-2 with a double, a walk and two runs scored. Fleck accounted for two RBI in the win. Josh Campbell went 1-for-3. Aiden Reed struck out two and allowed four hits and five walks without surrendering an earned run over six innings of work to pick up the win. Parker Holden retired all three batters he faced over an inning of relief work. Parker Farnham doubled and drove in a run for Chili Post. Nico Arena was 2-for-3 with an RBI. Marcus Roney was 1-for-3 with a walk and a run scored. Josh Miner walked and scored. Bobby Rule walked twice. Jamie Derleth added a single.
