Jack Leasure Shooting and Skills Camp Sectional Preview: Girls’ Class C1

The 2024 Section V Class C1 Girls’ bracket features five teams from Genesee Region, Livingston County and Wayne County along with two from the Finger Lakes and one from both Allegany and Steuben County. The tournament opens with first-round games on Tuesday evening and the finalists will meet on March 1st to decide the championship.

Oakfield-Alabama, the reigning champion, is seeking its fourth sectional title in program history. Gananda, the top seed, is looking for its third championship and first since 2017. Byron-Bergen, the fifth seed, enters postseason play with 11 consecutive victories, including a win over Oakfield-Alabama in the penultimate regular season game. The Bees have averaged 50.9 points per game while holding their opposition to 35.3 in that span as well. Here’s the breakdown:
