Terence Thompson turned in his fifth double-double effort of the season, and Franklin won its fourth straight game. Thompson led five in double figures with 22 points while hauling in 15 rebounds. Sunday’s performance comes two days after the senior center posted 31 points and 21 rebounds in a win over McQuaid. Thompson connected eight times from the floor including once from long range. Teammate Kollin McCullough finished four assists shy of a triple-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds. Shawn Goins had 16 points and six assists. Goins hit three triples and poured in 12 points during the second quarter when Franklin outscored St. Mary’s 27-8 to take a 25-point lead into halftime. Clarence Thompson accounted for 13 points and five steals. Lavante Brown rounded out the Bulldogs’ offensive output with 15 points. Elijah Macmillan led St. Mary’s with 19 points.

Markell Johnson accounted for eight points in the third quarter when East High turned a one-possession game into a 14-point advantage. Leading 27-26, Johnson connected twice from the floor including once from long range and converted 3-of-4 from the free throw line. Johnson finished with 11 points in the game. Zion Parson, who led four in double digits with 21 points, scored four in the decisive third quarter. Micah Johnson had 13 points, and Kesean Leonard scored 11. Kamell Little (4) and Zymier Jackson (1) also contributed in the scoring for the Eagles who have won six games by double digits this season. Bishop Grimes junior Nate Abernethy topped all scorers with 22 points including nine in the second quarter.

Jadeir Breedlove and Christian McCullough combined for 13 first-quarter points as Aquinas jumped out to 23-5 lead after eight minutes of play. McCullough finished with a game-high 17 points on the shoulders of seven field goals, thee of which came from behind the 3-point. Breedlove added 15 points in the win – the fourth this season double digits for the Li’l Irish. Mackie Terry added 12 points while senior big man Chris Leysath had eight. Micah Anderson also scored eight. Jack Fesetch hit three 3-pointers and led Horseheads with nine points.

Collin Gentile paced the Bishop Kearney offense with 16 points to go with five rebounds and three assists as the Kings won for the second time in as as many days. Alejandro Aguilar added 10 points, seven rebounds and five assists in the win. Jayden Capers had 13 points and six rebounds for the Kings. Jah Reaves accounted for eight points, eight rebounds and eight assists while Maddox Volpe had eight points, six rebounds and two blocks. Russell Ellis contributed two points, five rebounds and two assists. Jahan Wilson had four points and three rebounds.
