Rochester native Nate (Jeenathan) Williams came off the bench and shined for the Houston Rockets on Wednesday.
In the Rockets’ 117-103 loss to the San Antonio Spurs, Williams played 23 minutes and scored 19 points, grabbed eight rebounds and had a steal. The former University Prep Charter and University at Buffalo standout was also 3-of-3 from the free-throw line.
On Monday in Houston’s 99-89 win over San Antonio, Williams contributed four points and two rebounds in eight minutes.
Williams and the Rockets wrap up their preseason with a home game against the Miami Heat this Friday at 8 p.m.
The Rochester native and former Bishop Kearney star had eight points and four boards in the Heat’s 107-104 loss to the Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday.
Bryant and the Heat go up against the Rockets at 8 p.m. Friday.
Jalen Pickett (Denver Nuggets)
The ex-Aquinas Institute standout and Rochester native finished with two points, three rebounds and three assists in Denver’s 116-103 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers on Tuesday.
Pickett and Nuggets capped their preseason on Thursday with another game against the Clippers.
