Three teams will challenge for the first AAA championship in Section V Girls’ Soccer history. Second-seeded Rochester City School District (RCSD) United (4-11-0) will face Rush-Henrietta (1-15-0) on Thursday, October 19th. The winner advances to the final to take on Fairport (5-8-2).
Fairport will be looking to win its seventh sectional title in program history and first since 2020.
Both RCSD United and Rush-Henrietta have yet to hoist a sectional block. United is in its first year of existence.
The New York State Public High School Athletic Association (NYSPHSAA) voted to add a sixth classification last November. The decision impacts boys’ and girls’ soccer, boys’ and girls’ basketball, baseball, softball and volleyball.
