Rochester Colonial Saturday Girls’ Soccer Wrap: Rexford strikes gold for C-G/J-T; Russell paces Fillmore

Emma Garigen finished with two goals and an assist to lead Penfield to its fourth straight win. Garigen opened the scoring in the ninth minute with an assist from Lyla Scenck and gave the Patriots a 2-nil lead with eight minutes remaining in the first half. Gianna Ciavarri assisted on the second strike. Alice Marchese capped the Penfield scoring.

PENN YAN (2-2-1) 2

Trailing 1-nil, Ruby Berry tied the game at one, and Miley Andersen connected on her first varsity goal to lead Penn Yan. Kiera Castner assisted on both goals. Marion Wheeler made four saves in the win.

MYNDERSE (4-2-1) 0
WAYNE (4-2-0) 2

The win was the third straight for Wayne – all by shutouts. Diamond Parks and Addison Rice scored a goal apiece.

GENEVA (3-2-0) 1
PALMYRA-MACEDON (3-2-1) 6

Maya Ikewood scored twice and added three assists as Pal-Mac stayed unbeaten in its past three games with its second straight win. Lillian Boesel added two goals and an assist in the win. Kylie Westerman finished with a goal and an assist. REagan Diehl also found the back of the net. Breana Pentycofe had an assist.

NEWARK/LYONS (0-6-0) 0

Emily Meath finished with a goal and an assist to lead Midlakes. Mia Van Savage opened the scoring midway through the first half with an assist from Hayden Wells. Meath set up Alyssa Crance for a strike six minutes into the second half before capping the scoring six minutes later. Lily Roth had an assist on the third Midlakes goal. Newark/Lyons keeper Emma Thayer made eight saves.

Eleni Mountzouros scored the lone Dansville goals Emma Allen set up the play.

CALEDONIA-MUMFORD (4-1-1) 1

Holly McGinnis connected in the 60th minute as Caledonia-Mumford rallied for a tie. Emma Brogna assisted on the equalizer. Madison Wyskiel made 12 saves for the Raiders. Lindsey Steffenilla gave Le Roy the lead midway through the first half with an assist from Kenna MacKenzie. Corinna Dunn stopped seven shots for the Oatkan Knights.

Caitlynn connected for two goals while Kierstin Einhiple and Hailey Weldy added a marker apiece to lead Livonia. Bailey Treuthart contributed an assist. Mary Kwak made one save for the shutout.

AVON (3-4-0) 3

Maggie Vanderbilt had a goal and an assist while Vivianne Boor and Olivia Caiazzo both found the back of the net to lead Avon. Alyssa Helmbold and Lauren Masten also had an assist in the win. Alissa Kaufmann finished with two saves. Charity Scott scored the lone Letchworth goal. Kendra Brace assisted on the play.

Perry’s Jad Duffin had 16 saves.

Ava Quintern finished with a goal and two assists while Sophia Picardo had found the back of the net and added a helper to lead Kendall. Alea Barrett also scored for the Eagles. Stella Kwiatek had an assist.

Hope Russell finished with four goals and an assist to lead Fillmore. Grace Russell had two assists in the win. Delaney Hillman, Kylee Ellsworth, Mattie McCumiskey, Tenlee Miller and Summer Friedl also found the back of the net. Rachel Hatch, Allie Mills, Amelia Rose and Ryleigh Goodliff had an assist apiece. Addison Ball scored the lone Finney goal with help from Allie Frederickson.

CANISTEO-GREENWOOD/JASPER-TROUPSBURG (6-0-1) 2
ARKPORT-CANASERAGA (1-5-0) 1

Mya Rexford connected on a golden goal in the first overtime to cap a late C-G/J-T rally. Trailing 1-nil with less than five minutes remaining in regulation, Kadyn Piliero delivered the equalizer with an assist from Bailey Mullen. Piliero then set up Rexford’s game winner with 2:45 left in the first overtime. C-G/J-T had a 20-2 advantage in shots. McKenna Ferris recorded one save in the net for CG/JT.
