Brennan Pipitone went 1-for-3 with an RBI and struck out three batters through two hitless innings of relief to lead Pale Hose to their first win of the season. The Palmyra-Macedon High School senior had a leadoff single, stole second and scored on Gabriel Rivera’s double to center in the second. Pipitone plated Jamison Riley with an RBI-ground-out in the fourth to make it 4-1. The hurler retired six of eight batters including the first four in order over the final two frames.

Ethan Light went 2-for-3 with a leadoff double before scoring on a passed ball in the first. Michael Calogero struck out four and allowed no hits through three innings. The starter retired the first six batters he faced. Declan Caron had a two-out double and scored on an error in the first, and Eastridge High School sophomore struck out two and gave up one hit through two innings of relief. Ian Schmeer drove home Riley with a two-out double in the sixth to conclude the scoring.

Riley had a leadoff single in the fourth. For the Amazins, William Nunn brought home Owen and Evan Cuba with a sacrifice fly in the fifth to make it 4-3. The hurler struck out four and gave up two hits through three innings of relief. Evan Cuba plated Jacob Wolff when he reached on an error in the third. Joseph Guisto had a two-out base hit in the fifth.

Jace Crawford finished with three RBI and plated Joseph Presutti and Derrick Allen with a two-out single in a three-run third to lead the Sawx to their third-consecutive win. Crawford stole home to cap the scoring in the third. The Penfield High School senior added an RBI-ground-out in a three-run fifth to extend the lead to 7-2. On the mound, the right-hander retired the side in order with a strikeout of the final batter in the seventh. Allen went 2-for-3 with a one-out double that scored Max Angle in the fifth.

The 2022 UBL Pitcher of the Year struck out three and allowed one hit in the sixth. Angle drove home Presutti with a base hit to center to open the scoring in the fifth. Presutti struck out three batters and gave up four hits through the first three innings. Owen Cuba struck out one through two hitless innings of relief. Evan Cuba and Benjamin Horvath each had a hit. For the A’s, Corey Weiss plated Christian Morrison and Matthew Scibienski with a two-out single in the sixth to end the scoring. The Penfield High School senior struck out one and gave up one hit over the final two frames. He retired the final four batters he faced. Ryan Grasley went 2-for-2 and had an RBI-walk in the fifth. Robbie Langdon had an RBI-ground-out in the third. Dylan Cole and Joe Guisto both had a hit.

Tyler Gordner went 2-for-4 with four RBI including a two-run double with one out in an eight-run first inning to lead the Bombers to their third-straight win. Gordner plated Sam Nick with a two-out single in the sixth. Rowan Boyzuck went 3-for-4 and plated Gordner with an infield-single before scoring on a wild pitch in the first. Gerald Hitchock plated Dwyer Boyzuck, who was hit by a pitch in the frame, when he reached on a fielder’s choice. Brody Swan was hit by a pitch and scored on a wild pitch in the frame, before Grant Distaffen plated Hitchcock and Aidan Caselli with a double to left to end the frame. Distaffen finished 2-for-4 in the game. Noah Gressell struck out seven batters and gave up one hit over three scoreless innings. The starter struck out the side in the first and the third. Nick hit a two-out double in the third to bring in three runs and extend the lead to 11-0. Kieran Hayes struck out two and gave up one hit in two innings of relief. He retired six of seven batters including the first four he faced. Hudson Lazenby had two strikeouts and two hits allowed over the final two frames. Swan scored on an error with two outs in the fourth, and he brought home another run when he reached on an error in the fifth. Dwyer Boyzuck and Charlie Underhill each had a hit. For the Bucs, Christian Sciortino plated Brody Kwoka and Oscar Roger with a two-out single, before coming home on a balk in a four-run top of the sixth. Roger singled, while Ryan Galle walked and scored on a passed ball in the frame. Fred Ferrer and Chase Sullivan each had a hit.
