Maier had a leadoff walk and advanced to second on an error before scoring in the first. For McQuaid, Matt Wilmarth struck out nine and allowed six hits over six innings of work. The Warriors will play No. 2 Victor in the Class AA semifinals on Wednesday.

Michael Sardou struck out nine batters and scattered six hits over 5.1 innings to lead Churchville-Chili to the Class A1 semifinals. The junior recorded multiple strikeouts in three frames. At the plate, Sardou drove home Joshua Campbell with a two-out double to open the scoring in the first. Campbell scored once more on a one-out single to left off the bat of Justin Meister in the third. Campbell went 2-for-3 with base hits in both frames. Evan Putney took the mound in the sixth and worked his way out of a bases-loaded situation with a strikeout and a putout at home plate. The junior retired three of the final four batters in order. Putney had a leadoff single in the fourth, and Parker Farnham and Dominic Morsch each had a base hit. For Greece Arcadia, Dominic Zona went 2-for-4 at the plate, and the junior struck out three and gave up seven hits over six innings on the mound. Parker Drees went 2-for-4 with a double in the first. Jathniel Martinez went 2-for-4, and Jack Pilgrim had a leadoff single in the fourth. The Saints have won four of their last five games, and will take on No. 4 Irondequoit in the Class A1 semifinals.

Connor Osier struck out nine, allowed one run on one hit and finished 1-for-3 at the plate with a run scored as Athena advanced to the semifinals. Derrick Allen struck out two and retired all three batters he faced in one inning of relief work. Allen went 2-for-3 with a double and two runs scored in the win. Jaden Madrid doubled, stole a base and scored a run. Nate Hall singled and drove in two runs. Riley Catena stole a base, scored and drove in a run. Sammy Butera added an RBI. Nate Barone singled and scored for Canandaigua. Nate Brinza had an RBI. The Trojans will face No. 6 Spencerport.

Shaun Cannon and Joshua Winter each had a two-out RBI-single in the top of the eighth to lead Spencerport. Cannon plated pinch-runner Ryan Cieslinski following Bryon Streb’s one-out double. Winter drove a 1-2 pitch to center field to bring around Cannon. Streb went 2-for-4 in the win. Zach Lamberton struck out four batters and gave up six hits over a complete game. Kyle Milburn went 2-for-5 with a double. Frank Grad went 1-for-3 and had a sacrifice fly to score Milburn in the third. For Webster Thomas, Justin Sykes plated Edward Frusci with a two-out single to tie the game in the sixth. Frusci had a leadoff single in the frame before advancing on a sacrifice bunt from Mason Lawyer. Joseph Baller, Joshua Butka, Nathan Hill and Adam Zlotkus each had a hit. The Rangers will play No. 2 Greece Athena in the Class A1 semifinals.

Antinore went 3-for-4 with an RBI-double in the fourth and an RBI-single in the sixth. Jordan Welker went 3-for-4 with two RBI and three runs scored, and Chase Antinore went 2-for-3 with two RBI and two runs scored. Jimmy Fanara went 2-for-4 an RBI-single in the third and an RBI-ground-out in the sixth. Berry plated Welker and Fanara with a two-RBI triple in the third. Chase Cummings went 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored, and Jaden Sherwood had collected two singles and an RBI. Harden Groff had a double and a run scored. Charlie Grove had a one-out base hit to center field to bring home Adam Bay and walk it off in the eighth for Naples. Grove struck out seven batters and allowed six hits through seven innings, and Grady Grove had a strikeout in a scoreless top of the eighth. Bay and Donivan Todd each had a hit and a run scored. Grady Grove and Dylan Bray had a hit apiece. For Genesee Valley-Belfast, Carter Stout struck out nine and gave up four hits through 7.1 innings, and the senior went 2-for-3 with a double, a triple and a run scored. Matthew Cater went 1-for-3 with two RBI an a run scored. Tyler Ralyea went 2-for-4, and Evan Turybury had a hit. The Big Green will play No. 2 Avoca-Prattsburgh in the Class D1 semifinals on Wednesday.

The Elba starter allowed one hit and went 2-for-4 at the plate with a double, a walk, five stolen bases, four RBI and three runs scored. Gage Chamberlain connected on a home run, worked four walks and scored three runs in the win. Angelo Penna was 3-for-5 with a double, three RBI and four stolen bases. Nicholas Scott went 2-for-5 with four RBI and three stolen bases.
“Super proud and happy for the boys,” Elba head coach Andrew Boyce said. “This is just a testament of how good [Genesee Region] baseball really is!! We have been battle-tested all season by great teams. I think we are playing our best baseball at the right time! We need to have our best practice of the season tomorrow cause we are right back at it on Wednesday! Our staff has been preaching we need to play 21 innings of our best baseball to be where we wanna be at the end of the year! Seven down, 14 more to go!”
