DeValder finished her day at the plate with a two-out triple to right field that gave Schroeder a 10-run lead. Sarah Ferruzza went 2-for-3 with three RBI including a two-run single that capped a four-run third. Carley Casteline, Teagan Murphy and Leah Murray each had a hit and scored twice. For Penfield, Emma Atzl went 3-for-4 with a double, and Teona Cruz went 1-for-3 and drove in Lynnette Clark on a fielder’s choice in the second. Megan Clark added a base hit.

One team was playing its third game in 15 days. The other took the field for a second time this season. Such is the way for spring sport teams trying to navigate uncooperative weather. Scott Smith’s Irondequoit Eagles had just enough experience on Wednesday. Having an ace to put in the circle for a close out during hurt either Abby Ras produced three runs, and Marlayna Cartegena hurled four innings in relief to pick up the win. READ MORE.

Mendon’s Lily Goldberg hit a 2-run home run to tie the game at 2-all in the sixth inning, and the junior struck out 13 batters and gave up two hits from the circle. Arina van Baaren scored the winning run on an error in the sixth.

Nicole Allen’s two-run home run in the bottom of the fifth started a five-run rally in the frame to lead Fairport. Millie Reed followed up back-to-back hits in the frame from Hannah Radomski and Lauryn Smith with an RBI-single to left field. One more run crossed the plate on an error. Amanda Linnenbrink struck out 10 and scattered two hits through seven innings of work, and the senior started the scoring with a sacrifice bunt in the fourth that allowed Smith to score. Smith went 3-for-3 and scored twice, while Radomski went 2-for-4. Juliana Catalano had two hits for the game. For Rush-Henrietta, Elizabeth Gleghorn had a single and reached base on all three at bats. Kadyn Hartel struck out six and allowed one earned run over six innings. Olivia Sheffer had a single and Aubrey Gleghorn stole two bases.

Avery DeMarco went 2-for-3 and scored three time, while Meghan Ward connected on a two-RBI single. Maddy DeVore went 1-for-2 and reached base four times, coming home to score on all four occasions. Mia Wilson reached base three times and scored twice.

The freshman plated Preslee Miller and Oakley Frazier with a double to left field on the third at bat of the game, and the shortstop added an RBI on a fielder’s choice in an 11-run top of the seventh. Miller went 4-for-5 at the plate with four RBI, three of which came on an inside-the-park home run in the seventh. Kylee Ellsworth went 3-for-7 with two RBI, and Mylee Miller finished 5-for-4 with an RBI. Frazier added two hits and four runs, and the junior drove in Ellsworth for the game’s final run. Emma Beardsley went 3-for-4 and hit a two-run double in the seventh after taking over for Ellsworth in the field. Grace Russell went 2-for-3, while Jenna Austin, Skylar Gaddy and Mercedes Wolcott each added a hit. For Geneseo, Liliana Weber went 3-for-5 with three RBI. Emily Metz finished 3-for-4 with a two-run, inside-the-park home run and a triple. Kylie Wall drove home Metz on a one-out triple in the second. Mia Loughlin went 2-for-4 with two RBI, while Madeline Mark contributed three base hits. Lauren Hanglow, Maggie Kennedy and Tessa Salatel each had a hit. The Eagles had 23 hits to the Blue Devils’ 15.

Cece Falsone and Solae Turner both had a hit and two RBI, while Sawyer Gallup, Ava Hawkins and Syd Falsone each added a hit. The Bombers got out to a 14-0 lead following a 10-run second inning. For Naples, Polly Bay had a hit and a stolen base.

Emma Burr had a walk-off single in the bottom of the eighth to bring home Jordyn Graham for the winning run to give Sodus its second win. The junior finished 3-for-5 with three base hits. Graham scored after a two-out single in the frame to cap a 3-for-5 outing at the plate. Natalie Lamar went 3-for-5 with an RBI-triple in the first and three runs scored, and Juliet Bennet had a double and a RBI-single to tie the game at 18-all in the seventh. Sarah Hino reached and scored three time, and the senior had 11 strikeouts. Giselle Santacruz had two hits and two RBI, and Jessica Fisher had a triple and a single. Kaitlyn Harper had an RBI-double in the fourth.

Loretta Sorochty went 3-for 5 with four RBI and four runs scored at the plate, and junior struck out nine and allowed no hits over the first four innings to lead Notre Dame-Batavia to its first win. Sorochty plated Anna Panepento and Katie Landers on a two-run single with two down in the fifth, and the dual-threat followed up hits by back-to-back hits from Mia Treleaven and Sonji Warner with a two-run single in the third to give the Fighting Irish a 2-0 lead. Kaydence Stehlar went 3-for-5 with five RBI, the senior accounted for an RBI-double and an RBI-single in an 11-run top of the fourth. Treleaven went 2-for-4 with an RBI and three runs scored, and the freshman completed the no-hitter by retiring the final three batter in order. Warner went 2-for-3 and opened up the fourth with an RBI-double. Emma Sisson had two RBI and drove home Sorochty on a one-out single in the third. Panepento recorded two hits, two runs scored and an RBI.

Morghyn Ross went 3-for-4 with a leadoff inside-the-park home run in the sixth. Emily Lamberson went 2-for-3 with a two-out RBI-double to plate Kiara Grover, who tripled in the first. Kadence Donohue had two hits and Katherine Lamberson added a base hit in the third. For Andover/Whitesville, Makaila Brewster struck out five.
