Junior forward Kellen Foster led four players in double figures with 20 points and a three-pointer as Newark advanced to its ninth regionals appearance in program history. Senior forward Brayden Steve drilled a trio of long-range shots and 6-of-7 free throws as part of his 17 points. Raeshawn Howard posted 15 points. Senior forward Daveon Wright chipped in 10 points. For Wellsville, Logan Dunbar led with 19 points and three long-distance makes. Senior forward Aidan Riley followed up with 11 points.
