The two top-seeded teams will be face off for the first time this year with the Class C1 title on the line. How they arrived here: Canisteo-Greenwood defeated No. 8 East Rochester, 48-29 in the quarterfinals before downing No. 5 Alexander, 46-31 in the semifinals. Oakfiled-Alabama opened with a 54-26 win over No. 15 Red Creek and proceeded to beat No. 7 Addison, 44-37 in the quarterfinals. The Hornets outlasted No. 6 Bloomfield, 59-56 in the semifinals to earn a spot in the finals.

History 101: This will mark the first meeting between the two teams this season. Canisteo-Greenwood has never won a sectional championship as a merged program. Greenwood won back-to-back Class D2 titles in 1987 and 1988. Oakfield-Alabama has won two sectional titles with its last being in 2019.
What’s Next: The winner will play the Class C2 champion (either Pavilion or Dundee/Bradford) in the NYS Class C Far West Regional Qualifier.
