Jalen Giles finished with 19 points and five steals while Gabby Brown-Sturdviant had 15 points, 10 assists and five steals as East clinched the RCAC championship with its third straight win and 10th in the past 11 games. Nevaeh Grisham scored seven of her 18 points in the first quarter when East jumped out to a 20-11 advantage. The Eagles led 43-25 at halftime. Graftoneishe Bowers added seven points in the win. Jiasia Norris (6), Antwanette Coleman (5), Ja’Daya Matthews (2), Ayasha Cherry (2) and Ali’Yana Robinson (1) rounded out the scoring for East. Maya Williams and Jazlynn Logan led SOTA with 16 and 11 points respectively. Breyelle Geiger (9), Son’ger McCullough (8), Toney Kayona (2) and Nina Pallotta (2) also scored for the Silverhawks.

Gabriela Lopez led three in double figures with 28 points, and Edison Tech won for the second time in three games. Kaysia Jones and Chasity Edwards added 13 apiece. Sadie Scott scored 19 of her game-high 26 points in the second half as the Brighton girls’ basketball team rallied from a double-digit deficit. Scott’s 3-pointer to open the fourth quarter highlighted a 9-0 run and gave the Bruins a lead they did not surrender.
Trailing 31-24, teammate Nora Smith started the decisive run with a bucket in the lane. Scott followed with a pull-up jumper and a pair of free throws to make it a one-point game before the end of the third quarter. Rachel Negbegble accounted for two points, 11 rebounds and six steals. Genesis Leathersich (5), Brielle Hammond (4), Lily Swan (2) and Abby Dils (2) rounded out the scoring for Lima Christian.

Ajayah Orr scored 16 points, and Molly O’Toole had 13 as Aquinas closed the regular season with back-to-back wins. Orr accounted for nine of her points in the fourth quarter when the Li’l Irish stretched their advantage to double digits. Sienna Hinchcliffe added nine points in the win. Jade Harvey (6), Lia Bronco (4) and Samiyah Wright (2) rounded out the scoring for Aquinas. Madelyn Moore led Hornell with 14 points. Selena Maldonado had seven. Reagan Evingham (4), Jordyn Dyring (3) and Mia Nasca (2) also scored for the Red Raiders.

Braelyn Isaman accounted for seven points, five assists, six rebounds and four steals. Julia Wilkins (5), Kelsey Davis (2) and Anna Linde (2) rounded out the scoring for Keshequa.

Morgan Caraballo scored 23 points including the 1,000th of her career, and Waterloo won its seventh straight straight game. Addison Bree paced the offense with 24 points. Jazzmyn Lewis added 14 points. Natalie DiSanto had 13 for the Tigers. Logan Amidon and Maci Mueller added five apiece for Waterloo.

Marianna Hodgins led Pal-Mac with 13 points, six rebounds, three steals and three blocks. Taryn Goodness had eight points and seven rebounds. Erika Mitchell (7), Julia Belanger (4) and Molly Seither (3) also scored for the Red Raiders. Ninth-grader Georgia Wirth grabbed 12 rebounds and scored two points.

Kendall Phillips led three in double figures with 15 points as Byron-Bergen erased an early deficit and won for the second time in three games. MacKenzie Senf added 13 points, and Janessa Amesbury had 11 in the win. The Bees used a 25-5 advantage in the third quarter to pick up the win. ER’s Aniyah Eldridge scored 11 points, and Emma Romach had 10 for the Bombers who jumped to 17-9 lead after eight minutes of play.
