Ryan Heath and Xavier Gissendanner scored 20 and 19 respectively to lead Irondequoit to its 14th victory over 15 starts in this battle of crosstown rivals. Heath scored eight of his points in the first frame as Gissendanner was saddled with two fouls within the first minute of regulation and sat the rest of the quarter. In the second quarter, Heath picked up his second foul with five minutes remaining until half and Gissendanner scored eight of his own as the Eagles stretched a five-point first quarter lead to 14 by the break. Eastridge had several good looks at the basket from beyond the 3-point arc in the first half that rimmed out while Irondequoit used its size advantage to convert in the paint. In the third quarter, Eastridge pulled within single digits three times as Amere Rodgers got hot from beyond the arc. Rodgers scored a team-high 17 points, including five triples. However, the Eagles always seemed to have an answer to retake a double-digit margin. Heath and Gissendanner scored 11 of Irondequoit’s 15 for the quarter and the Lancers did not get any closer than 10 for the rest of the game. Irondequoit prevented Eastridge from getting many second-chance opportunities with strong defensive rebounding. Other scorers for Irondequoit included Isaiah Ballard (8), Kenyen Lovett (6), Quinn VanKerkhove (3) and Azavier Ross with (2). For Gananda, Cooper Grassel drained four three-pointers and a quartet of free throws for 16 points – all in the second half.
