Clinging to a 30-29 early in the third quarter with leading scorer Merritt Holly, Jr. on the bench with three fouls, Connor Hegeman, Andrew Pocock, Jean Agosto paced a decisive 16-1 Le Roy run. Pocock led all scorers with 18 points on 7-of-12 shooting including 4-of-7 from behind the 3-point arc. Holly connected on 7-of-11 from the floor for 14 points to go with 10 rebounds. Hegeman had 12 points while Agosto scored eight and grabbed 10 rebounds. Maveric MacKenzie (3), Parker Dowell (3), Aaric Luce (2) and Cal Koukides (1) rounded out the scoring for Le Roy. The Oatkan Knights committed just eight turnovers in the contest. This coming after 26 ballhandling miscues in their recent loss to Warsaw. Le Roy’s defense allowed just three field goals in the second half. Cal-Mum’s Nate Doll finished with 16 points and 12 rebounds. Donny Peet had eight points while Braeden Fonte and Jeremy Raymond scored six apiece.
