How they got here: Bishop Kearney/Chesterton defeated No. 9 seed Haverling 4-0 in the quarterfinals and earned a 3-0 victory over No. 5 seed Le Roy in the semifinals. Penn Yan got a 1-0 victory over No. 7 seed Mynderse in the quarterfinals and earned a second shutout win over No. 3 seed North Rose Wolcott, 1-0.

History 101: Bishop Kearney’s last title came back in 2017 as part of Class C2, when the Kings defeated Geneseo, 1-0 on October 28, 2017. The BK boys’ soccer program has won three sectional titles since 1970. The teams last met in the postseason in the 2020 Class B2 semifinals, when Bishop Kearney claimed a 2-0 win on November 17, 2020. Penn Yan has never won a sectional title in its history.
