Elena Barr and Bridget Merkel both netted a goal as Pittsford Mendon struck twice in the first half and held on in the sectional quarterfinals. Barr extended the Vikings’ lead to 2-0. Merkel’s score was the lone goal in the second half to provide insurance. For Webster Thomas, junior midfielder Catherine Rogers converted a free kick from 18 yards out right before halftime. Pittsford Mendon advances to the sectional semifinals to take on No. 4 seed Churchville-Chili.

Wrianna Hudson netted a pair of goals, including the game-winner at the 13:42 mark of second overtime, to lift Greece Athena. The junior midfielder took an Abby Ranalletta punt past the goalkeeper and launched the ball into the back of the net to decide the contest. Hudson’s other score came 13 minutes into the match. Greece Athena advances to the sectional semifinals to take on No. 2 seed Spencerport.

No. 4 CHURCHVILLE-CHILI (11-5-1) 1 (2 OT)
Senior midfielder Amelia Breton hustled past the entire Irondequoit backline and slid in the game-winner 10 seconds into double overtime to lift Churchville-Chili past the sectional quarterfinals. Junior defender Hannalee Hotaling launched the ball from midfield into the box to set up Breton. Churchville-Chili advances to the sectional semifinals to take on top-seeded Pittsford Mendon.
CLASS B2
No. 5 LE ROY (8-9-0) 3
No. 4 PENN YAN (7-9-1) 2
Maura Dambra netted a goal and assisted another as Le Roy raced to a 3-0 lead and held on in the sectional quarterfinals. The senior midfielder put the Knights on the board in the 19th minute and applied a helper to Kenna MacKenzie 14 minutes later. Junior defender Abby Allen’s goal in the 36th minute courtesy of Madison Major proved to be the difference maker. Senior goalkeeper Katelyn Everett converted four saves to preserve the victory. For Penn Yan, Corinne Barden and Hailey Hassos both found the back of the net in the second half as part of an attempted rally. Sophomore keeper Marion Wheeler kept the game close with five saves. Le Roy advances to the sectional semifinals to take on top-seeded Haverling.

Grace Russell contributed all three Fillmore goals with one tally and two assists to guide the Eagles past the sectional quarterfinals. The junior midfielder ignited the Eagles’ big second half with a helper to Hope Russell in the 41st minute. Grace Russell then applied the coup de grace herself seven minutes later before assisting Rachel Hatch in the 53rd minute. Junior goalkeeper Preslee Miller only needed one save to pitch a shutout. Fillmore advances to the sectional semifinals to take on No. 5 seed Keshequa.

No. 2 GENESEE VALLEY/BELFAST (12-3-2) 6
Hannah Southwick-Powers recorded a pair of goals to lead a balanced Genesee Valley/Belfast offense. The sophomore forward netted the Jaguars’ second tally of the match thanks to Sophie Zillgitt and bookended the game’s scoring. Zillgitt assisted Bayleigh Tallman’s goal as well. Mary Hamer, Harley Proctor and Whitney Young rounded out the scoring. Tallman applied a helper to Young while Young contributed to Proctor’s volley. Genesee Valley/Belfast advances to the sectional semifinals to take on No. 3 seed Naples.

Eighth-grade midfielder Mia Betrus netted the game-winner to lift Naples past the sectional quarterfinals. The Big Green advance to the sectional semifinals to take on No. 2 seed Genesee Valley/Belfast.

No. 4 AVOCA/PRATTSBURGH (10-6-0) 0
Braelyn Isaman guided the balanced Keshequa offense with a pair of assists as the Indians scored three goals in the first 15 minutes of the sectional quarterfinals to come out on top. The eighth-grade midfielder applied helpers to Emma Jo Pierce in the 13th minute and Ava Thayer for the lone goal of the second half. Freshman defender Riley Nageldinger set the tone by scoring eight minutes into the match. Junior midfielder Libby Benner capped off the three-goal first half with a tally in the 15th minute. Keshequa advances to the sectional semifinals to take on top-seeded Fillmore.

No. 1 NORTHSTAR CHRISTIAN (15-1-1) 2
Eighth-grade forward Allie Skeval re-directed a Grace Kearney cross into the back of the net in the 79th minute to lift Northstar Christian past the sectional quarterfinals. Junior midfielder Katelyn Demarest nailed a free kick from 20 yards in the 65th minute for the first goal of the match. Junior goalkeeper Aliyah Cuylear contributed one save in 66 minutes. For Andover/Whitesville, Kennedy Bledsoe accounted for the team’s lone tally. Northstar Christian advances to the sectional semifinals to take on No. 4 seed Hammondsport.

Senior forward Gracie Groome accumulated four goals to lead Charles G. Finney past the sectional quarterfinals. Eighth-grade midfielder Ava Lombardo assisted Groome’s first two tallies. Amelia Marsiglio and Kiara Vanderjagt rounded out the scoring for the Falcons. Sophomore midfielder Allie Frederickson applied a helper to Vanderjagt for the game’s opening goal. Charles G. Finney advances to the sectional semifinals to take on No. 3 seed Jasper-Troupsburg.

Emily McCaig’s goal and assist in the first three minutes of the contest ignited Jasper-Troupsburg past the sectional quarterfinals. The senior defender’s helper was for Kaylie Petteys. Aubrianna Bradley secured the victory with a 67th-minute tally. Jasper-Troupsburg advances to the sectional semifinals to take on No. 2 seed Charles G. Finney.
