Sophomore running back C.J. Robinson ignited Aquinas to its first win of the season with 154 rushing yards and three touchdowns on 11 carries. Senior wideout Terrell Richards amassed 132 receiving yards on four catches. Sophomore linebacker Lucas Leone led the defense with 13 tackles, including three for loss. Trent Hill and Ben Kingsley both posted seven tackles.

Christopher Jean broke for the end zone on three of his seven carries as UPrep tallied another statement victory in its inaugural season in class AA. The senior running back exploded for 180 yards overall. Noah Hill moved the chains with 127 passing yards, including 103 to Darius Poles. Poles posted a pair of touchdowns: one on defense and another on special teams. The senior wideout hustled for a 65-yard kickoff return touchdown and a 40-yard pick-six. Junior defensive end Tyrell Simmons had his head on a swivel, amassing a 45-yard pick-six, four and a half tackles, four quarterback hurries and a blocked pass. Dekhari Carter and RaeJoughn Yeomas both had six tackles. Carter recovered a fumble while Yeomas had one tackle for loss. Nazir Wynn recorded a team-high seven and a half tackles. Isaiah Moonschein compiled five and a half tackles, including two and a half for loss, and four quarterback hurries.

Sophomore quarterback Will DiMarco spiraled three touchdown passes, including the go-ahead score with three minutes left, and ran for another as McQuaid held on for its second straight win.

Kaden Johnson recorded a trio of touchdowns as Rush-Henrietta rebounded from its first loss with its third win. The senior running back scored in each of the last three quarters, including a six-yard scamper in the third period. Johnson’s other touchdown runs were for two and one yard, respectively. Overall, Johnson unloaded 190 rushing yards on 26 handoffs for 7.3 yards per carry. Jackson Koppers accounted for the Royal Comets’ other score with a five-yard touchdown pass to OJ Singletary in the opening period. Koppers finished with 94 passing yards on 12 completions. For Penfield, junior quarterback Adam Schembri scrambled for a 12-yard touchdown in the second quarter.

Taron Beachum ignited Spencerport’s offense by scoring on three of his 11 carries as the Rangers rebounded from its first loss last Friday. The senior running back totaled 127 yards. Junior fullback Jack Vickers contributed 10 touches, 67 yards and a touchdown. Senior linebacker Jake Aina led the defense with five solo tackles, including a pair for a loss. Giorgio Sacchetti hustled for a scoop-and-score. Anthony Hackett and Rylan McLeod both posted an interception. McLeod added three solo tackles. Jackson Burns had three of his four tackles result in negative yardage and posted a sack.

For Greece Olympia/Odyssey, junior wide receiver Amari Colon-Brown led with 86 rushing yards and the team’s lone touchdown. Sophomore linebacker Angelo Ubal led the defense with four tackles and a sack.

Senior quarterback Jaylen Hardeman scrambled for a pair of touchdowns as Wilson Magnet/Early College rallied for 12 fourth-quarter points to tally its first victory of the season. Sophomore running back Damond Jahmel Clark scored a 22-yard touchdown and recorded a pick on defense.

Owen Weterrings ran for three touchdowns as Livonia exploded for 433 yards of offense and rolled to its first win of the season. The junior running back amassed 160 yards on 17 carries. Kyle Weterrings received 17 touches as well, galloping for 102 yards and a pair of scores. Senior wideout Eddie Wright did his damage in the trenches with 56 yards and a touchdown on four carries.

Alexander Garrow totaled four touchdowns as Wayne held on in the annual Border Bowl for its second straight win. The junior running back tore up the trenches with 127 yards and three scores on 22 touches and hauled in eight balls, including one touchdown, through the air. Michael Prentice contributed at all three phases with a receiving touchdown, a 79-yard kickoff return to the house and an interception. Overall, the junior wide receiver finished with five catches for 96 yards on offense and eight tackles on defense.

CALEDONIA-MUMFORD/BYRON-BERGEN (2-2) 12
Wesley Farley rushed for a go-ahead, 10-yard touchdown at the end of the third quarter as Avon came out on top in a back-and-forth affair to rebound from a loss. Farley’s score broke a 12-all stalemate after Caledonia-Mumford/Byron-Bergen knotted the contest earlier in the period. Richard Brice hurled his second touchdown pass of the match to Christopher Thompson with 3:55 remaining to seal the victory. It was Thompson’s second score of the game as well as the junior running back punched the ball in from two yards out to tie the game at six in the first quarter. Brice led the offense by going 20-of-26 for 289 yards. The senior quarterback’s other touchdown pass was to Michael Rowland to give the Braves their first lead of the game, 12-6, in the second period. Rowland and Thompson combined for 246 receiving yards on 14 catches. Rowland led with eight balls for 142 yards while Thompson had six catches for 104. Thompson recorded an interception on defense as well. Farley ran for 83 rushing yards on 14 carries to guide the ground game. Senior defensive back Jake Driscoll posted five and a half tackles. Nolan Clar and Bryant Vonglis both recorded a tackle for loss. For Caledonia-Mumford/Byron-Bergen, Austin Pittman and Malachi Smith both rushed in a touchdown

Trenton Woods led the offensive barrage with three first-quarter touchdown passes as Alexander cruised to its second straight home win. This was Trojans head coach Timothy Sawyer’s 100 career victory with the program as well. Woods connected with Christian Kissel, Kaden Lyons and Tyler Marino on the scoring plays. Marino’s score was the longest at 30 yards. Senior running back Richard Townley found the end zone twice in the second period on runs of 10 and four yards, respectively. Marino added another touchdown via a four-yard scramble in the third quarter. Senior wideout Bryce Feldman contributed with his first Varsity touchdown to cap off the scoring. Cole Dean led a defense which didn’t allow a first down the entire game with three tackles, a safety and fumble. Feldman, Kissel, Jaden Snyder and Woods all recorded a sack. Senior defensive back Ben Merrill picked off a pass.

OAKFIELD-ALABAMA/ELBA (4-0) 38
Bodie Hyde accounted for all the offense with five touchdowns as Oakfield-Alabama/Elba continued its season-long offensive rampage. The junior quarterback tossed three touchdowns among his seven completions and scored on two of his 14 direct snaps. Overall, Hyde unleashed 153 rushing yards and 87 passing yards. The 5-foot-11 quarterback added 11 tackles on defense as well, including one for loss. Noah Currier, Kyle Porter and Connor Scott were the recipients of Hyde’s touchdowns. Scott added a rushing score as well, finishing with 63 yards through the trenches and 31 through the air. Defensively, the senior running back posted five tackles, a pair of pass break-ups and a fumble recovery. Currier led the ground game with 137 yards on 16 touches. Senior linebacker Brayden Smith dominated the defense with 10 tackles and a fumble recovery. Aiden Warner recovered a fumble as well along with his seven tackles.

While the first half still was not the cleanest on our end, the way our guys came out of halftime and kept the pedal down on a good opponent speaks to what we are capable of, both physically and mentally. They are really taking to our “process over product” approach and doing a phenomenal job of taking each opponent as they come. For them, the next challenge is the biggest one.”

Junior running back Tyson Totten ran amok for 264 rushing yards and a quartet of scores on 25 carries to lead Pembroke. Senior quarterback Cayden Pfalzer connected with Chase Guzdek on a 54-yard touchdown and added 106 rushing yards. Sophomore linebacker Caleb Felski led the defense with 11 tackles. For Red Jacket, Micah Harshfield carried the offense with four touchdowns, including three scoring passes to James Sibeto twice and Chase Verdi once. Harshfield unloaded 195 rushing yards as well, including a 65-yard sprint to the house, on 18 scrambles. Verdi added a touchdown via the trenches as well as he recorded 98 receiving yards.
